Why don’t do you PvP?

Pvp in MMOrpgs are never balanced and will never be

The Rpg factor of the game where every class has a niche tends to break it . You would have to create 2 separate games one just for pvp never happening

Moreover Wow is a pve centric game, I get all my pvp fix in actual pvp focused games like mobas ,fps and real life encounters

Simply put, Bfa is awful for pvp and generally speaking, pvp does require you to perform better and that’s something most of today’s wow playerbase despises (lol yep).

It’s gotten really questionable in Bfa though, you can be a destro or havoc dh and how you perform won’t really matter that much.

I don’t have the gear for it, and I have no desire to do progression raiding or high keys.

Enjoy arena and the only reason I still play this game

The only drag in BFA are the “chores” like cloak level, corruption rng and some classes needing tuned.

I would normally queue a few thousand games a season in wrath wod legion but needed chores and the need to pve takes away from that

Healers are un-killable 1v1.
Healers are un-killable 2v1.
Healers are usually un-killable 3v1.
Healers are often un-killable 4v1.

Hybrid specs do just as much damage as pure DPS specs, but they also heal a ton.

Random damage procs that you can’t predict almost global you.

GCD makes rapidly reactive combat, such as PVP, really un-enjoyable.

DH’s exist.

I could go on.

Oh almost forgot my main reason: fresh 120’s in random BGs.
Hell, even semi-geared players in random BG’s are basically a wasted slot.

Oh oh! no PVP vendors or PVP tier sets.

Ok i’ll have to force myself to end it here.

You’re doing it wrong

No, in random BG’s they’re raid bosses.

If you’re dying to less than 3 people as a healer then it is you who is doing it wrong.

Lol with trinkets and corruptions it’s easy to 1v1 a healer. Especially with dampening.

I would love to conduct a study of why the devs have let destro and havoc be this broken for this long.

Maybe someone should just ask, “Why SHOULD you pvp?”

When the only answer is, “for fun,” they’ve conceded that they agree it is pointless outside of casual enjoyment.

Why do you raid or M+? For rewards. To PvP, you have to do all of it if you want rewards(upgrades). They’ve turned PvE into more of a casual system than PvP.

Log on, do your M+, wait for raid, boom done. Come back later for your chest.

Want to PvP? Go do M+ and raid, do your ten games, wait for your RNG chests to give you something that isn’t the same piece you have gotten the last 10 times.

PvP is a pointless treadmill with broken classes and some of the worst balance ever. All while getting spoonfed crap like Seething Shore because they removed the blacklist feature.

Dampening doesn’t exist in random BG’s my friend. But i’ll still disagree with you.

I’m not going to waste my time arguing over if healers are too strong.

I do PvP, but I still think it’s stupid just how good those essences are for PvE. Doing them on my characters I’m not confident PvPing on is pure hell.

And before anyone says it, yes, I think it’s dumb that some PvE items are prerequisite to be competitive in PvP, as well.

I absolutely despise wow PvP. There is nothing fun about having some toon trying to run in a circle around me.

In my mind overwatch is what good PvP looks like.

I would love to see wow PvP simply canceled.

That’s why we are where we are. So because you don’t enjoy it, it should be pruned altogether?

I’d rather they go back to how it was and stop trying to cater to people that never liked it in the first place.

Blood of the enemy and conflict and strife are good for PvP too, it’s just that it happens to be BiS for some classes in PvE.

It’s been a joke since Legion, and MoP was much more fun and rewarding in every single way.

PVP requires a fair bit of time and effort to learn what every class can do, what class combinations work well, how to deal with cooldowns, teammates, etc.

Right now, I’m not willing to put in the time required for proficiency. Maybe some day I’ll pick it up again, but really not much reason to do so currently.

You still get lag, and way more then you should considering many other games.

Wasn’t as bad in MoP. Was actually managable. As can be seen in the vid that I linked.

Rogue mage can literally 100-0 a healer w no trinket in a Kidney garotte if no one peels for that healer

Blizz does a bad job at showing players ideal stats, talents, ect for pvp in game. All information has to be found outside the game via twitch or sites like skill capped

As someone who used to PvP a lot and misses MoP PvP hugely my opinion is War Mode has done more bad for PvP than good.
It’s caused more people who ordinarily wouldn’t PvP, and probably don’t want to PvP, to turn it on for the extra rewards. People are also more likely, especially if they don’t want to PvP, to just group up to get it done quickly so they can turn WM off again which is why there’s so much 5v1 sorta stuff happening.

That combined with a large portion if not the majority of peoples damage coming from necklace actives and procs, azerite armor traits and trinket procs it just feels so rng heavy and bad. It’s no fun say outplaying a rogue and then getting 100-0 in a single kidney shot because they got lucky with a bunch of procs.
