I wouldn’t mind the game being easier. Then maybe I could play with some folks who are genuinely good people and not just elitist jerks who treat everyone worse than them like trash.
Because that’s not how it works now, nor how it has ever worked, nor how it should work? Different content has different rewards. You literally only have yourself to blame for doing content you don’t enjoy.
Hell, I’ve been a PvP player up until this season, being my first PvE season since Wrath, and it turns out I really want the PvP enchant. However, despite enjoying PvP and really wanting the enchant, I am still questioning whether it’s worth it to get a character PvP-ready and learn the meta just for its sake.
The quoted question is pure narcissism. Sometimes things you want will be rewards from content you don’t like. That’s just reality for a game that has multiple playstyles.
What an asinine conspiracy. All the content in this game has rewards. Blizzard doesn’t intentionally put rewards in the game that they don’t think people want, because that wouldn’t be a reward. You’re doing the written equivalent of playing spooky music over a perfectly benign movie scene.
With infinite scaling you will always hit a wall.
That’s how infinite scaling works
The walls you’re referring to are all the top .1% of content.
So play the more relaxing content that 99% of the game consists of?
Great news there are multiple key levels that you can push to get your desired crests. They even just changed higher key levels to drop more crests.
Is this just a “bigger number = better” situation? The content is exactly the same on a 2 as it is on a 30. What new content are you seeing?
My guild has been clearing heroic in less than 2 hours since the second week of the tier. There is nothing preventing you from doing this right now especially with how much gear you could’ve gotten at this point in the season + the stacking raid buff
At what point should something that infinitely scales be impossible for the average person? What difference does it make if it is too hard for them at a 12 or a 30, the content is exactly the same the only difference is the number is smaller. There’s also not a good reason to push past certain key levels and this design is deliberate because blizzard doesn’t want people to feel forced to push “super high” key levels.
2 key levels past max rewards or 18 levels past max rewards. That’s ALOT of playable content they’ve removed for the average key player. Again, disincentivization.
Again, there is no new content comparing a +2 to a +30. The content is exactly the same, nothing changes except the number on it.
The difference is in the past it felt like we had infinite scaling, now it feels like we have X number of key levels and we are done. We currently have M2-12 and that’s it, even people in the past who went above the old M25 key levels, even myself who went up to M26 in DF, we are going M10-12 and just giving up, we feel like we cannot push like we used to.
Back in DF I would go M20-22 and it still felt like I could go higher, there wasn’t an instant brick wall at M23 that would just stop me from progressing, even in an M26 I felt like with a little bit better game play I could push 27-28 and it was hard, but doable. Now the equivalent key level is like jumping 5 more instead of one at a time giving us that wall feeling.
No, the walls we are referring to is going from M10 > M11 and it feeling like it’s 5 or more key levels higher than what we were used to for many expansions. Or going from an easy 4 boss clear in raid to just giving up and going home because the difficulty has ramped up so much it’s not worth trying.
The top 0.1% is somewhere around M16 currently, many players are just not going past M12 at the moment because it’s not worth the trouble. And for raiding that would be the last two bosses, where many people are only doing 4 bosses and skipping the next 2.
Even comparing raiding to DF season 1 and we are currently only now about 25% of the total CE runs we had back then. Sure, we still have time, but do you think with how it is going now that we will end up getting 1500 more CE guild clears before S2 comes around?
Except, you know, the 18 extra key levels that you prog from 12’s to 30’s. Given that detail is detrimental to your point I can see why you’re just ignoring that.
I doubt Blizz is saying that
Ah you are just trolling got it. What exactly new content do you expect to see in the 12-30 keys and don’t say “enemy hit harder”
Wait until they use Ai to auto adjust content difficulty per player…things are about to get real fun in the next few years.
Content to progress. Enemy hit harder is a valid progression system. Progression ladder to ascend. Progression ladder to reach new heights. Is it the same dungeons, yes. Does it matter? No. Because the key progression is the focus.
Because it’s a game, not a job.
Yes and some people like challenging games.
The worst is the constant “tuning” every week. Never seen this before. It’s ridiculous, annoying and stupid.
Just play one of the many easier levels of content. Your solution has been available for years already.
Yes, exactly! What’s the point of playing a game if the challenge is trivial?
I mean, it managed to do pretty well back when only ~1% of the playerbase got to meaningfully engage with the endgame.
Is this back when the game was 95% leveling and 5% endgame? Not sure if you’ve noticed, but today it’s more like 5% leveling and 95% endgame.
You basically just proved his point.
Just play one of the many easier levels of content.
That wasn’t my point? My point is people are obnoxiously entitled because they can clear a +10 while 95% of the populace can’t. If that percentage was lower they wouldn’t have such a high incredibly arrogant leg to stand on.
Make the game easier. Humble the elite.
