Why doesn’t more alliance turn WM on

I have WM on 90% of the time. I don’t attack, but defend. I find a constant stream of WRA Allies out there. If anything I don’t use Horde mode to get my HKs. I use it for easy node as I hardly see either side out in the non BFA world. Of course, I’m biased with my RP server.

Maybe CRZ is still to blame

Simple answer. Horde players are scumbags.

But everyone knows this quest and the awards made available!
Who values war mode is already doing but this is the problem is not it? there are few people doing it on the side of allicance, because that is not worth enough to do that content!

But what leads you to think that gear pvp is something that is valued by everyone or that this is fairly rewarding or that this quest is important to motivate participation in something like war mode?

For me, it is not enough for other people! I’m sorry, but these activities only interest those who like wpvp or do arenas and BGs!

Make PvP something other than a predetermined zero sum game.

Then you decided not to do it. That’s on you guys.

Meanwhile, we the Horde will continue to gather our gear and points for more gear. Cool, we are all agreed. Thank you, Alliance. I’m glad we had this talk.

This! If people aren’t doing warmode at 10% EXP, then 30% im going to guess won’t impact it either. If people want PvP they will do arena or battle grounds. The glory days of TM/SS epic world PvP battles are over because there are other PvP options out there where you don’t have to deal with griefers.

If PvPers want more people in world PvP, they are going to need to switch to alliance and turn on warmode. Heck if they went alliance they would have a target rich environment based on the amount of horde walking around with warmode on.

I don’t turn on warmode because its a waste of my time.

I’m not interested in getting jumped when I am trying to do a world quest, leveling an alt or herbing/mining.

I prefer my pvp structured and at a time of my choosing. Battlegrounds serve that purpose.

If large groups (5+) were only sharded with other large groups, I would turn it on. There is no reason, especially in old world leveling content to need to be in a large group for quests. The only purpose is so they can go around roflstomping the opposing faction. If the opposing faction, doesn’t have any large groups, then it could become a lonely experience for that large group, but oh well.

I would love to run into the opposing faction 1 on 1 or even 1 on 2. 1 on 5+, consistently? No thank you.

Which is exactly what battlegrounds are haha.

That is why I love running battlegrounds. The large scale PVP. Would gladly do it in the open world, but it normally turns into 40 vs 3 or something to that effect.

It’s interesting that many Alliance on RP servers have WM on. We regularly have nice PvP fun on traditionally RP-PVE servers.

I presume that phasing was supposed to do this, in fact - to balance the numbers.

The problem, as I understand it, is that say, for example, they balance the numbers on Nagrand/Caelestrasz, and everything is fine for five minutes. Then someone forms a 20m group and everything is immediately out of whack. Its apparently not so simple to immediately rebalance to take that abrupt jump in numbers. And then when the 20m disbands, the numbers are out again.

Personally I would have thought that they would have taken this into account before WM was introduced. It seems odd if they didn’t.

I played on a pvp server for a long time as ally and I hate WoW’s pvp. I was only there cause my friends rolled on Dunemaul. Eventually we up and moved to Proudmoore. However, there were only very rarely a number of times I was camped. Sure I was ganked, but usually the Horde would just ignore me.
I haven’t tried WM and with the 30% bonus I’ll give it a shot, but as soon as I get a whiff of ganking I’ll be swapping to another leveling alt that is no where near there.
IMO CRZ has ruined everything including WM. (Disclaimer: I don’t actually know how the WM phasing works.) I’m guessing if WM were restricted to just the server I bet it wouldn’t be so bad, much like WotLK days on pvp servers. However, I think that now all the WM players get bunched together to facilitate pvp, and honestly I’m only in it for the boost, not the pvp.

PvP in WoW sucks. It just keeps getting worse and worse each expansion. CC seems to be Blizzards favorite thing, but it makes PvP that much more unfun to play. Unfortunately, over-CC saturation seems to be leaking into other games, like Overwatch, too.

I have warmode on full time and I don’t know about this quest. Where do you pick it up?

You get it from this guy

I consider fair. You will continue to have that’s important to you, doing what you love to do, with the active warmode!
I’ll try to contain my envy!

The same will happen with who holds the warmode off!
They mind with what they find important to them and will have the rewards that will pay your time and effort by making the content they like!

Maybe do Bgs and arenas as well.
But they will not adhere to both the war mode as some would like.
I’m sorry, but war mode and their awards, are not important for everyone!
It’s no one’s fault if wpvp and war mode is not fun for everyone, as it is for some.

it’s just impossible numbers to overcome.

lets say you’re alliance and #300 dps on your realm on raider io.
turns out 290 of those 300 are horde.

the imbalance is major, nothing a little bonus could fix.

So by your logic Horde should get a free 10%.

All you needed to do was look at server selection screen in the old days. Outside of a small handful of outliers, yes they were dead

I think this is what we’re really seeing happening. People use it to level faster then turn it off. Probably another reason the bribe never should have been implemented
