This isn’t at all important I’m just curious if anyone knows why this is happening.
I have Brutal Gladiator’s Greatsword and De-Raged Waraxe.
De-Raged has more str and slightly higher dmg and dps. Yet when I equip De-Raged it shows less dmg. I have both skills at 400 and no enchants on either weapon.
What is causing this?
Armor penetration?
Does that really show up under flat dmg?
Is one weapon faster than the other?
De-Raged is .10 slower.
So I assume De-raged is the one that’s hitting harder then? And by a bigger margin than you think it should?
Edit: or rather it should be hitting harder. Reading is hard.
No the Glad is hitting harder despite having lower dmg and dps.
Are you using it for PvP or PvE?
PVE but i’m just looking at the dmg value under character.
Its a better weapon.
De-raged is a 3.5 speed weapon, so it is the one that’s swinging faster. Currently, because Blizzard hasn’t standardized swings (as they should because Wrath was when this change was implemented), your swing times are factored into your top/bottom end damages. Because De-raged is faster, its weapon damage might be higher but its multiplier is lower because it’s a 3.5 as opposed to the slower Brutal weapon.
Don’t know why they haven’t changed this to where it should be. All weapon swings were normalized in terms of top/bottom end factoring-in. Slower weapons have higher damage anyway, so I don’t know why they would need that and a swing timer to factor into their damage.
Brutal Sword has this.
Your attacks ignore 98 of your opponent’s armor.
Has more crit and better attack speed.
That’s why.
Unless your items are different than wowhead
Interesting, just curious what that interaction was. Ty for the fast responses.
