Almost like these forums have existed for years.
Because both games are under same “genre” but i’ll say FF14 is like JRPGMMO, so there’s points to compare and compared to other MMOs like GW2 , ESO, New World.
FF14 is the one that has moved more content creators from WoW and player base, so it’ll be a constant topic by comparing systems, narrative design…etc

As a Likely Council Member I heard your concerns and attempted to address them.
She said “no”.
The FF14 stans are upset that their expansion release is still less popular than wow in its current state, despite all the problems that happened this year. They have this incessant need to prove everyone otherwise when nobody even asked. =/
FYI, you cannot comment on these forums if you DO NOT have either a sub, or days left on the sub you already paid for.
This is all but confirmed.
I like both games too but prefer WoW much more.
The funny thing is you have these FF14 anti-wow people who are on the forums everytime a new patch goes live… and they always say:
I just come here to trash on WoW, I’m not even subbed!
When they totally f***ing subbed. 
Either they paid for the whopping 6 month subscription, and have that long of time until their sub runs out or they’re signed up for the monthly and waiting for under a month of time left.
This is my situation. I cancelled my sub, and have about 6 days left. After these 6 days of WoW playtime is up, I can’t post on these forums anymore.

A lot of people don’t realize that this is the third or fourth incarnation of the WoW forums.
The forums are like the Matrix.
Can’t argue with that point.
Because Square Enix has done things Blizzard refuses to do. An extraordinary amount of people think that SE has created a MMO and has actually listened to the players, their MMO has aliments of surprises in game, where WoW is a datamined toxic hell hole, that is created for a handful of hypercompetitive jerks.
I think that people are playing the games they enjoy…but the vast majority of players leaving have been here for 15+ years…they are angry and many of them want to see Blizzard burn, there is no stopping that…if you’re smart you will duck and cover until the Torch and Pitchfork crowd walks by.

You should tell that to everyone on the FF forums, if we care we’ll see it there. This is WoW not FF, the only trolls that should be here talking about FF should be getting paid by FF. If you’re not getting paid, well you’re in the wrong place. Go play your FF, we don’t care and we don’t care how much you enjoy it.
Tbh this launch made me realize that there is 2 companies that are bad but just go with one you think is less badder. And for me it’s square enix tbh
FF14 isn’t even still more popular than WoW. Despite WoW being around 1.2 million people.
Look at Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, and Twitch… WoW is still more popular across the board on the platforms, and in the projected numbers.
FF14 does not have that many people, and even Yoshi P himself said quote: “I could only dream of the numbers that WoW gets” when he was praising WoW over the summer whilst the toxic FF14 stans were insulting his beloved game.

He’s not lying. He genuinely wishes the best for this game. But some stans make me not want to play either WoW or FF14 often. You guys being toxic ruin the fun for everyone. Just play what you love. It’s not a competition.

Many of whom have now come back to wow, or have quit the game. A lot of the streamers who left for ff14 earlier this year are now streaming wow… during an expansion release for FF14. =/
