Why does no one use the lfg system?

Because it’s tedious to look for groups. Most people just want badges and to get into any heroic they can. This tool doesn’t allow for easy searching. You have to check each dungeon individually to see who is looking. There are much better add-ons that utilize the lfg channel like group bulletin board. This way you can see each dungeon on the screen and who’s looking for normal or heroic.

Because it is a really crappy system so why would anyone bother.

I don’t, because I don’t like it, and don’t want to use it.

Also, I don’t have issues forming groups without it, so it’s not solving a problem I have.

This could literally be a forum post from 2008. We wanted classic they gave us horses, you are used to Ferrari…and you are asking why your horse is slow.

As many have said, no one used it back then, just like their voice chat attempt
(which was actually almost successful and a decent product but outside products were far superior)
They are just releasing it to stay true to classic because why not I guess. It won’t be successful. Sorry man. Keep using that LFG Bulletin Board add on. It works fairly well.

Because people are dumb. Either too dumb to know its there, too dumb to figure out how to use it, or too dumb to know it’s actually a good tool. Not sure how anyone can say it sucks when it does exactly what you need it to.

Also saying no one used it during original TBC is false. I used it, my friends used it, and I was able to easily run heroics all the time, because tons of other people used it. I was never in the LFG chat channel… that channel has always just been a place for people to be obnoxious with irrelevant and immature chatter.

I keep hoping more people will start using the tool, but it seems people just keep getting dumber these days.

Because it isn’t dungeon finder.

I posted in the LFG tool for 3 dungeons and went afk for 5-7 min and came back to a handful of whispers and got to take my pick. LFG addon works well with the LFG tool. A lot of people dont use addons at all so using both helps to maximize your chances of getting into a group

Or because they’re smart enough to use an Addon that works better.

Because people are selective about who they want to party with. Nobody likes getting randomly messaged by people who may be undergeared or not speak the same language as you.

People like to wait until they see a familiar name or guild looking for content they want, and then whisper that person.

They should have just added the Retail LFG Tool/Dungeon Finder except kept it same-server only, would be best of both worlds…

THIS. so much this.

They might as well add cross realm LFD. This is not TBC anymore.

Retail has a LFG Tool that is not LFD/LFR and it works quite well.

For some idiotic reason blizzard didn’t just enable that.

Have u used the bulletin board addin?

There is literally nothing good about the lfg tool they implemented. There is zero advantage over lfg channel. If it were better, people would use it.

I use both and have found groups doing both.

The LFG channel did not work back then with LFG chat still active. Who would need it. I like what one person said that if you were lfg say Auchidoun you click on the summoning stone to see who was looking or get auto added to their group kinda of a LFD but hard coded to the Summoning stones now that would work

It’s not very good. Doesn’t really add anything you’d need that you can’t do as well if not better from the lfg channel.

That’s basically the FF14 system

The issue with this is the dungeons have to be easy enough they can be done regardless o group comp or you end up with the Cata heroic situation.
