Why is your company so useless at tuning PvP. Venruki has a series of stream clips of accidentally LITERALLY one shotting people with evoker, while saying “evoker damage is more than we comfortable with” (quoting blizz devs on hotfix notes). This has been going on since you buffed them for raid with no counter balance for PvP. Ret are critting 200k+ with radiant decree for weeks now. Ele sham are being complained about constantly and need their earth shield nerfed. Shadow priest are still immortal gods doing 12k+ hps and aff locks are both doing 20k hps and now critting 2 million damage one shots with deathbolt bug from target dummies. Fix your game it takes a single day of playing arena to see all the glaring problems, or just 5 minutes in the arena forum. Stop taking MONTHS to nerf broken specs just pull your fingers out and do your jobs to make the game fair ffs.
I am passionate about this game and it’s so painful to watch it be completely neglected in PvP for no reason. You have the team size now DO SOMETHING WITH IT.
I just want evoker’s toolkit to be reworked to make living flame more engaging, and everything less “lol I win”.
Balance changes are happening at the fastest rate in WoW’s history, Dragonflight has been out for 7 weeks and theres been 4 major weekly balance patches with a .5 balance patch coming out in next week.
I get it you dont do anything else but play wow pvp and watch streamers play wow pvp so you’re heavily invested but the hyperbole just comes off as crying for no reason
They have done a pretty decent job this xpac, way better than the last what 4??
it’s not neglected. blizz just doesnt see this part of WoW as a priority. If im not mistaken, pvpers make up less than 1% of the WoW player base
They’ve actually done quite a good job of making it a priority, as Euniper pointed out.
That doesn’t mean they can fix subjective balance issues in a day. They have to decide what to nerf, how to nerf it, what % is reasonable, etc… and bug fixes require new or repaired code, which competes against other projects in terms of employee time.
Then there’s the question of whether the issue is really damage or if it’s a toolkit problem, in which case there are potential ability/talent reworks involved, which usually have to wait for a patch.
Obv stuff like the Deathbolt bug should be fixed, and I imagine it will be pretty quickly. It’s Monday morning. Blizz employees aren’t even at work yet. People need to relax.
They’ve been pretty good about making changes, though.
Unsure as to how somebody could come to that conclusion.
Radom battlegrounds and shuffle are both quite popular.
Ehhh I just watched an affy lock blast someone with a 1.3m deathbolt in arena skirm so it’s not all hyperbole lol. I’ve got a thread with a ss in it. No Necro aura from me either.
That being said, don’t remember the last time the team was this active in pvp tuning, and I’m including OG Wrath.
Yea, OP is just raging. the balance patches have been great this expac. there are still some issues, there always will be, but its been pretty good so far
They literally have been posting hotfixes constantly. Like Im legit so impressed with blizzard
Wait until everyone has 4 piece tier set in pvp. That is going to throw balance out the window.
Yea
Dhs damage, ele shamy dmg, shadow dmg, they need to nerf it, so the game cam be actualy be played…
Poor guy never learned how to tell time. A week or two between balancing sweeps isn’t “months.” This is probably the most active balancing they’ve ever done.
Shadow does damage post nerf? Stop trolling.
I just saw an article stating that the first “patch” is arriving in record time compared to all the other expansions. Whether you think their decisions are “wrong” it seems like they’re trying.
I almost think some people think the programmers just have to click on an ability, and an up or down arrow appears to easily raise or lower the damage and it’s modifiers ![]()
when obviously the code for any spell is much more complex
I can assure you ele does not need earth shield nerfed… if thats the prio on your list, thats a YIKES lol
For sure, they are cranking out tuning. However, it really feels like all of the tuning up to this point could have easily been done in beta.
They’ve actively fixed stuff on a weekly basis and the season has been barely out for a month, less if you disclude the holiday weeks.
but you’ll have meltdowns like OP and that other thread
And see garbage feedback at a 100:1 ratio
