Why does horde win like almost every AV?

I don’t get it, both teams like, run to the opposite side of the map and just kill the boss most games, yet horde still beats alliance at bursting down the boss every game. How does this happen?

Horde don’t wait for the bunkers to burn and alliance does.

Horde are just inferior and lack the intelligence to understand if they wait they would get more honor.

Which is why Alliance honor even in a loss is still high.

They want the screen to say “win” even tho we all got 900000 av tokens.

Alliance have an advantage in terrain, so if the horde simply “waited” the alliance would always have an advantage in that regard.

Ergo, they cannot just idly sit by and twiddle their thumbs if they want to win. Thus they become pro-active and push.

If you don’t like the fact you’re losing, adjust your strategy prehaps? Though I do undersatnd trying to get 39 other people to actually do something besides mindlessly zerg and then passively wait around for their honor is not really something that works very often, so I cannot blame any one person in particular.

Both sides should be strong enough to kill the boss with 2 maybe even 3 towers up at this point.

By that logic, alliance should be burning all the towers, then not killing Drek and going as a large group to farm down the rest of the reinforcements, for maximum honor gain, instead of pushing down Drek to see “Win” on the screen.

Seems silly to try to deride people for wanting to win a Player vs Player battleground. That’s the whole point. Some people might just be there to afk farm honor, but other people play battlegrounds for the purposes of winning. That’s like saying “why are you capping 3 flags in Warsong gulch for the win instead of just capping 2 and HK farming? Do you just want to see “Win” on your screen or get honor?”

No, the scenario is alliance burns the towers and horde don’t.

Horde don’t wait for bunkers to burn they usually go right after sh bunker burns or is about to.

Alliance typically wait because you’re their for honor to buy gear, not get 3 badges.

Unless you’re doing rotations and not just mindlessly afk farming AV for honor, and the tokens are actually useful to you.

If they just sit around and wait for everything to burn, the alliance will winn 9/10, and the alliance often backcaps so there’s an even higher likihood they get even less honor by waiting.

Again, getting angry and insulting people for wanting to win a PvP battleground is silly.

Have 5 people play defense and just slow the horde down and you will win. I generally try and get a group to roll to SHB and defend, then to IWB, take that back, then up to the north/south bunkers and do the same.

Like manuredps said, you will lose every time if you only zerg because the horde only cares about winning and not honor gain.

This is exactly what I did when I played.

I would call for back caps after we killed galv so most of the time I got me and like five others to go and we would cap the two bunkers which slowed them down enough for us to win.

Like I said I had like an 80% win rate when I was farming it.

I mean I’m not really insulting people…

Winning that battleground was pointless it’s all about honor we both know that

They don’t

I thought it was the cave location though?

XD lol.

It was in classic.

I had literally a 80% win rate in AV in tbc.

There were literally horde topics about how they didn’t win AV.

I have to agree, Horde doesn’t wait for bunkers and just piles in. It used to be where it was a race to see who got bunkers/towers down first then go in. Now it’s just rush to the boss. The honor is bad and the experience isn’t much fun for anyone as AV marks aren’t exactly rare.

The marks are pretty useful now for alts ever since they removed the mark requirement on S2 gear—you just cash in the marks and don’t have to save any. They are worth like 160 honor per mark now.

Alliance either -

A. Have no tanks
B. Have no healers
C. Both

Is op really complaining about alliance losing AV?

Cause you with your boosted gear is in it

The more things change the more they stay the same I guess.

I have a 65% winrate in AV from just stalling at the Dunbaldar south bunker. You really only need 5-8 players to slow down the 4 base all in that is pretty common for horde to employ and you will likely win.

The only downside is it can easily turn the game into a turtle if you actually hard wipe them in the alliance base (upside for me because turtles actually means there will be PvP in AV). So the goal is never to actually wipe them. Just try snipe healers and tanks while you slow down their push north and you will give your southern forces the time they need to get RH and both FW towers. After towers are down and horde havent pulled its generally GG.

If horde are going D hard then the play should be to take Iceblood GY and try to force IBT and TP towers. The alliance base is much easier to defend if horde have too many on defence, so as long as you secure IBT and TP you will have the advantage, since the FW towers are much harder to hold than the Dunbaldar bunkers.

My current strat is to head to icewing first, and most times I am slowing down that cap. Then I usually die to like 4 of them, and when I rez I head to a guy or up north to do the same with our bunkers/gy up there. My plan is to slow them down just enough so that my team can win the zerg.
