Why does horde hate Void Elfs?

You might want to take your own advice Fiona, I can go back and link where you started this all by talking trash about our Discord because it was you specifically that started to derail this topic.

Why do you bring up homophobia into everything? Even when it’s not warranted. Literally out of nowhere man.

All the antis ever did was argue why they disagreed with high elves being added, which isn’t a crime.

By and large, meaning there is still canonicity to it, but that it is not something people use in the same way we do gameplay wise:

The two Sentinels walked in silence toward a green, secluded area next to the temple, where the city’s Highborne elves, the only practitioners of arcane magic in Darnassus, dwelt. Portals were precious gifts, and the recent, cautious admittance of the kaldorei’s Highborne brethren meant that small groups—like the survivors of the Explorers’ League expedition, who had already suffered so much—could be spared lengthy sea voyages.

Portals do exist in the lore, but unlike our gameplay use of it, they are generally expensive/hard to managed thus are not open 24/7.

I mean, they were pretty ruthless about it. All being an anti does is try to rain on someone’s parade. Stomp out their fun, police what should and should not be. It’s not a crime but doesn’t make them good people either.

Yeah, I’m not going to scream at antis for not wanting high elves. :woman_shrugging: That’s their opinion, and that’s fine. If they started actual brigades and attacking people/harassing, yeah, I’d call that out as not cool.

People don’t understand that disagreeing/arguing = / = harassment. Harassment is targeting people & attacking them as people constantly in every single thread (so…what certain people seem to be doing here).

As for my stance, I’ve never been against high elves. I don’t particularly care about them and find them boring. I am against void elves getting all blood elf options without any exchange (still waiting on a hair style exchange). Also against alliance-exclusive San’layn, which some people argue for out of spite.

People might be surprised to hear that I’m against the factions entirely, which directly goes against several of my friends here.

But you know what?

We disagree maturely because we know how to be adults. Same goes for my anti-light-theme-for-blood-elves, Anti-Calia, and Anti-lightforged undead things. AND my dislike of Venthyr.

That clashes with nearly the entire discord and yet we get along fine. Disagreement = / = harassment.

uhuh. sure. you said it, so it must be true.

I’m still trying to figure out how adding high elves affects them, beyond their need to be special in a videogame

Void Elves ARE High Elves. Void Elves were Blood Elves were High Elves were Highbourne were Night Elves were Dark Trolls.

You police the Void Elf customization thread  Or try to. Multiple times in there, you’ve tried to halt our requests because they don’t fit the High Elf aesthetic.

Not trying to be antagonistic but I am pointing out hypocrisy where I see it.

Hey. You guys started it first. Just dishing the same treatment back at ya.

Also very strange how some here don’t think that homophobia is an example of bad behavior, which is relevant to the topic as bad behavior seen by extremists. (again–extremists, not every high elf fan).

Seems like a “It’s okay to trash this discord but not our community” sort of thing.

You’d swear it was a crime to want other stuff than them, these are legit the same people that say I’m a horrible person because I want permanent glowy skintones and hot pink hair color for my Void Elf.

Haven’t been kicked for my opinion on that yet! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yet.

At least you’re honest in admitting that you’re trying to gatekeep people requesting options.

Look at them try to act innocent now. It’s a performance to them. That’s it. Make sure to give them the attention they crave.

As an added note:

Tyrande nodded. She knew, as they all knew, that one could not move armies through portals as one did handfuls of individuals. He could send all the reinforcements in Azeroth, and like the army the Alliance had so smugly assembled for just this purpose, they would arrive too late to do much good.
