Actually classic is pretty much 99% correct. It has nearly everything the same.
Pservers had pretty much 99% of all mob, boss, spells wrong in one way or the other.
Anyone who says otherwise is a fool and…incompetant.

Keep telling yourself that.
Classic has so many custom changes and added QoL features that it makes it no better than pservers. I’m not saying pservers were perfect, because obviously they aren’t, but you can’t ignore the changes that Classic has and act like it’s just like vanilla.

Min maxing in my opinion…I know it was 14 years ago but I don’t remember every dps having the same trinkets for example.

im not even sure what 99% of people are doing on the game in general. why are people so focused on minmaxers and s***? do you literally follow them around inspecting ppl and getting frustrated theyre maxxed?
if you pay even the vaguest bit of attention, you will find this mentality oozes into every potential raid recruit, every trade chat pug alt raid, even 5 man dungeon runs.

- Pservers have created an impression that pservers == vanilla
- Pservers have allowed for 10+years of min/maxing
Both of these seem to have negative effects. OP, this may have affected u too. It could also be burn out maybe?
On the other hand had there been no pservers (nolstarius) its quite possible that wow classic wuldnt come out. As with many things in life theres good and bad associated with the same thing.
I am a retal player first but i love going back to classic. I got my ret to 60 and planned on mainly pvping. However wpvp lasted very short and was mainly fp ganking and moving in raids so the horde wuldnt demolish us since we were outnumbered. And the AV meta, well… enough has been writtrn about that. So i got bumbed out about that. Im a big fan of not doing things u dont enjoy so i stopped playing classic for a few weeks which was ez coz 8.3 came out and i was busy with that. Then WC3 RF came out and i started playing the human campaign and that got me back into the whole nostalgic classic feels and i started playing classic again and ive avoided pvp since it bothered me (xfered to pve realm too around xmas) and its been great so far. Even joined my classic guild and took out MC and Ony last week. And with the bwl hype im back to playing classic 1 or 2 days a week again.
Hope this helps, OP and u get ur classic enthusiasm back. Dont force it is my biggest suggestion.

If you complain about a game that is 99% correct and than try to compare it to lets say pservers which have been confirmed nearly 99% wrong. Than you are a fool.
We skipped all the difficult patches and went straight to the easiest one. By starting out on patch 1.12 we skipped a good swath of Vanilla history and progression and used the version which had the most content nerfs and character boosts. This made everything trivial up to about AQ40.
So it’s boring now, people are able to race to the end and clear raids in record time. It won’t be until AQ 40 is released that the game will get to the correct amount of difficulty and maybe not even then because people will be jam-packed with the easy gear they got in the earlier raids.
I don’t know if the game will last that long, it’s already lost so many people.
