According to who? We have primarily two server types and there are more PVP servers than PVE
And PvP makes up approximately one quarter of the activity on those PvP servers.

Pvp is a side thing. pvp servers are just meant for more danger while you’re doing PvE activities.

Well the fact the entire premise of Alliance Vs. Horde in WoW is for PVP mechanics. Not to mention the original trailer for vanilla advertises it as a PVP game. Even in the Box art for vanilla shows raid on cross roads or w,e.
PVP is the only dynamic content in wow classic.

because classic wow isnt private servers there are x100 people playing and a lot are min/maxing.
I think the botched release and trickling in of new servers did a lot to poison the first taste…add to that the obvious lack of attention from Blizzard, the toxicity of the player base, the woeful faction imbalance in both population and abilities, and the fact that we romanced what we remembered and forgot about the many warts…yeah, it’s definitely not the same.
Still fun…but for how much longer, who knows.
IMO, with a company that was really interested in seeing classic succeed for the right reasons rather than just squeezing the cash cow one last time, I think things would ‘feel’ a little different, but that just isn’t ActiBlizz. We are all tiny little ATM’s without voices to them.

Clearly not. If 90% of forum posts are about PVP… if over 50% of servers are PVP, if an entire faction has PVP racials, then its quite clear that PVP is at least 50% of the game.

That is faulty logic. Forums are hardly a barometer for the game as most people come here to complain. If PvP were perfect, you would see 90% of the posts on AH imbalance or something like that, but no one would claim AH play is 90% of the game.

90% of the forums threads only accounts for 1% of the overall population. but 60% of the time that number is doubled by half minus double and then add 60%.
You’re right if taken in isolation.
But when combined with everything else I wrote, then yes, I’m correct. Even issues from faction imbalance are derived from PVP since faciton balance wouldnt really matter on if PVP didnt exist
