Having the item in the first place isn’t a win. They gave us garbage runes and expect us to rely on it. They are just making Classic Feral all over again.
Alliance side feral is required even if they do no DPS. Horde side, well I feel bad for horde druids. Shaman just do everything and they do it all much better then a druid.
This is a fair point. I don’t have any max-level Horde in SoD, and don’t plan to, so I tend to forget they exist. I actually don’t care much either, because anybody who does can always reroll.
Let’s see how things shake out shall we? Considering that you can farm 100’s of gold easily now with incursions, this probably won’t be an issue. Regular consumes will probably cost far more I think. If it turns out not to be the case, they can look at reducing the cost of catnip.
In wrath ferals are rewarded for this by being a top DPS spec, not so much in SoD, and obviously by wrath power shifting is fixed making feral more rewarding to play.
Feral was never a jack of all trades not in vanilla and not later. This isn’t even so much a class design issue but a general game design issue. Even if a class theoretically supported it encounters don’t.
Feral was always a beast in wrath.
In SoD they bring a unique buff to alliance so they’re really just a mobile totem.
Ferals should just be happy doing hundreds and hundreds of less DPS than their casual friends. They should just be happy doing no PvP damage compared to their casual friends? We should all just be happy casually being worse than everyone else?
Doesn’t matter which way you spin it. Like I said, a Feral with no consumables vs another spec with no consumables will do A LOT less than them. A Casual warrior shouldn’t just beat up a Casual Feral for free.
Agreed, remove the buff from ACP, remove catnip, and add an effect to two runes (one of the main feral dps ones, and one of the main bear ones, which would be exclusive to each other) which gives a buff for + 10% passive attack speed or something. The attack speed buff is probably overpowered in PVP for burst anyway, and call it a day.
Consumables are not mandatory. I did not have to bring consumables last phase and I could still get oranges. This phase I HAVE to bring catnip or else I’m grey. I did not farm ANY gold last phase at all btw. This phase it looks like I’m going to have to because of Catnip.
If you’re new to feral, or if you just started playing feral in Wrath Classic after its buffs, and are angry at its current performance in SoD, then I hope things get better.
Historically, Feral has been a pretty rough spec among druid specs to try to force yourself into in PVE for various reasons, and lately its been getting some very interesting amounts of love, so maybe that’s all changing.
Why not? Is there some fundamental ethical or moral reason you believe this?
Anyway, I’m happy that you feel entitled to a certain playstyle experience and I hope that your championing your opinion results in fulfillment for you.
while the cost is high, feral also bring 5% crit buff, windfury, innervate, combat ress and barkskin with the new rune on tanks or any player in trouble every minute.
Even if you were to do zero dps people would still want you (alliance)
Every Class besides Rogue brings some type of buffs to the raid. And I believe Rogue should bring something as well. Windfury and LoTP isn’t any better than what other Classes are bringing. Plus everyone gets these buffs. That’s not a good excuse for Ferals to do bad damage.
No people do not want you if you do zero dps. LoTP and Windfury does not make up for the 50k-100k damage. Not even close. Not sure what the DPS peole are doing on ST FYI. But you get the point.
