Why does blizz now hate the titans?

Go watch the Eternals and that will give you an idea.

Most of the races are tools created by the Titans to help grow Azeroth. As long as they are necessary for that purpose than there are no issues. However, once Azeroth is born we have used up our function and the Titans have no use for us.

Imagine if years ago…and wow was truly hardcore.

25 brave adventurers meet and fail to drop algalon.

Guess what happens? Re-origination. The titans were never the nicest of people really. They are more throw out the baby with the bathwater types really.

Some need to go run that alt who has never seen ulduar, drop algalon, turn in that quest…and hear the words. Citizens of Dalaran!..I can be nice and make it retail. One shot him lol.

Bliz found out they all drive SUV’s and road rage against cyclists in a city dedicated to bike travel/lanes.

Just watch Sargeras come back at the end of this expansion as an ally to help fight the void, or the titans.

That would ruin his character entirely. I really hope this never happens, which means it probably will.

Yes which was a retcon the Titans were supposed to be dead and they’ve never been our friends only caring about their own interests happy to see they’re moving away from that mess like legion had multiple terrible lore moments like this nonsense with Kil’jaeden.

Because of their colonial oppression of the indigenous peoples.

They still haven’t forgiven the animators for turning Teen Titans into Teen Titans GO

I’m a little confused … why do we think the writers are anti-titan?

Just because the villains have a genuine grievance?

The titans are beings of Order, taken to an extreme they can result in a being supper controlling.
There morality is the bases for all ““good”” on Azeroth, however the old gods and legion provide 2 different perspectives on “Order”

The legion are the polar opposite desiring “chaos”, even there magic is build on chaos which is Fel.
The old gods/voidlords on the Other hand provide an alternative to the idea of Order. And they imply Order only need to be subjective and that nothing is to last forever.

But being that the basis for what is “good” comes from the titans ideals, we are naturally at conflict with the legion, old gods, and forces of undeath. although being all life on azeroth is already given a pinch of salt of “chaos, flesh, and darkness” its not much of a wonder that we echo what Algalon said “perhaps it is your imperfection that grants you free will.” Algalon, and other titan keepers like Tyr have questioned and seen what mixing the titan creations with other cosmic forces have done, made us both more resistant and free but able to choose to serve. Better followers that choose to serve then mind controlled slaves. Though its quite clear the titans themselves are also imperfect see entire Antorus raid I wonder if we perhaps gave the titans something to think about with how the cosmos works when they are not around and when their own actions resulted in themselves facing prolonged suffering from a disgruntled brother.

:dracthyr_a1: So TLDR I don’t think blizzard hates the titans, I think in the grand scheme of things they have been put on the shelf so we can explore them from a distance through the current story of Tyr. Insert Charlie Day Pepe Sylvia meme here

They were never our friends, we are a means to an end for them. They care about the developing Titan inside Azeroth not the fleas on it.

We had a shared enemy, and we were doing stuff that was in the Titans interests, so they were cool with us at the time.

Did you forget how Algalon, who was put on Azeroth by the Titans, was going to wipe out all life on Azeroth?

Titan Indifference to our existence is well established in the lore.

I wonder if there’s any of the “new crew” trying to awkwardly distance themselves from the old writers by doing everything they can to twist everything good they did to be bad.

Much retcon.

The Titans have brought order to chaotic worlds for altruistic reasons. They were supposed to be the good guys. Before Chronicles, world souls didn’t even exist. Consequently, Algalon was just an absolute emergency plan in case the old gods gained absolute control. It was also triggered just because of Loken’s intrigue.

So this is kinda wrong.

Now in Dragonflight, the Primalists have discovered that they live in a matrix. So they hacked into Amazon and stole the Kindle version of Chronicles, then crossed out various passages, replaced them with their own, better ideas and stored it in forbidden reach.

Of course, the Primalists in this case are self-inserts of the new writers and the new “revelations” are retcons.

It is important to keep in mind that the people who are writing the Lore now are not the people who originally created it. The product of such a constellation is usually called a Fanfiction.

Probably, because being unique is being exactly like every single other debt-addled, Twitter-addicted 20-something.

The Titans have attempted to kill us and Azeroth numerous times, as we were a ‘mistake’.

We’re not, nor have ever been, their friends. To them we’re a means to an end when convenient.
