I dunno, even in real life it’s hard to talk about my alliance characters sometimes.
Love for the game keeps me playing them expansion after expansion though.
People who think NA Alliance is in a bad spot have never seen OC Horde. What a sad state of affairs down under

Who are you talking to IRL about WoW? If I mention WoW at all to the people I know IRL, they’ll think I’m a degenerate nerd no matter what imaginary faction I choose.

This comment makes me sad, since I actually want to play Alliance- but LFG is literally empty anytime I’m looking for late night groups for rated PvP.

I’d hazard a guess ‘most’ people don’t play just one faction. Probably lamest moment for horde that I saw happened back in WoD where horde players win the last raid and Khadgar and Yrel show up to take credit. 
I was in a horde guild that ran some old raids for guild achieves and was like ‘wtf?’ That’d be an RP element though I think.
Also Dranei female sexiness is the best racial for solo …rp…

I’d rather quit WoW than start playing the genocidal faction, I mean Horde, again. Some of us actually have an issue with genocide which prevents us from switching over to Horde. I know that makes me a special snowflake but hey, it’s my $15 a month.
(Also, all my remaining WoW friends play Alliance)

All WoW is, is a waste of time. So, since it’s a waste of time and isn’t anything meaningful - waste your time however you like in the game and that brings you joy.
