Why does anyone play Alliance anymore?

Because I like it.

I stay Alliance because I know eventually something will happen to tip the scales and some streamer or WoW personality or guide will say Alliance gives a 0.01% advantage and all the ‘hardcore Horde’ will scramble back over and pretend they were Alliance all along.

the real reason the forsaken hate the living humans is because when they died they lost their potential

Because after all the battles and fighting, you want to just come in and relax around here… and Alliance people are generally more friendly.

I mean, imagine hanging out with an orc.

What do orcs even do?

Cause I don’t want to lose my name I know if I faction I’ll lose this name I’ve had for years. Then again I play both factions.

Because i refuse to play the badguys.

Wait, character names are only faction-specific? Why have I always thought they were server-specific?

They are. No one loses a name by faction changing.

Tired of pumping money into the game for transfers. Plus pretty much all I do anymore is world content. I don’t even do normal/heroic dungeons anymore until I outlevel and can solo them. The constant speed runs are not fun for me.

I do have horde characters but don’t really need play them much… too much work these days for alts.

That person will probably try and transfer to a more lopsided server for Horde. Just a hunch.

Truthfully everyone i know plays alliance. If the friends id played with at work had been horde, ida been horde. But they were ally, and now everyone i know is ally.

You can lose your name only if you switch servers.

Sometimes people play to have fun.

Alliance is fine if you’re casual. *

  • I define casual as anyone who doesn’t seriously push mythic raids or time +20s.

I play all versions of wow now, horde mostly………and dress up

I mean, if you want to hand me over 500$ to transfer feel free, while your at it I’ll need another 500$ to get them off of their dead and rotting realms…

Yikes. That defines, what, 95% of wow players?

Yes, most people are casual. If you’re fine with doing heroic and dipping your toes into mythic (and are on one of the two decent Alliance servers) there’s really no issue. You don’t start running into the recruitment wall until you’re trying to go deep into mythic, or do 20s.

It’s easier to do 20s obviously, but most high M+ groups that I know about are very insular and you’ll never see them in the group finder.

Simple answer: everything I want to do works just fine.
