Does Ford ask why people want red cars? Or do they supply red cars just because people want them?
Same thing Blizz should be doing. Lore means nothing. Lore is whatever Blizz says it is. If Blizz came out tomorrow and said Void Elf Paladins are a thing because Elune says so, then there you go. It’s lore.
But : I want them because others want them , and im one to not be bothered by stuff added because someone else want that , in fact i support anything that’s purely cosmetic that others might want …
Because with the high elf customization coming to void elves it seems only fitting we should be able to be paladins. That is literally about it. I wanna say that is 99.99% of the reason. if others have another reason feel free to express it.
Oh please the lore is more malleable then you think. All it would take for Void elf paladins to make sense is if we learn Alleria and co have learned to better control the void and the light. Hell, might be an interesting story if we learn later on Alleria is now fully able to wield both light and dark again(she was a master of light might before she became a void elf).
People want them because the people who wanted to play Blood elves on Alliance still don’t have the most popular class Paladins but Blood elves do still so they can’t move their Blood elf Paladins to Alliance and are asking for them to have a class that makes 0 sense for them. They want the to have every last thing Blood elves have.
I want Void Elf Paladins because I want Class/race restrictions gone entirely.
In most cases they’re arbitrary at best, and in the few cases they aren’t, that just makes playing a character of that combo that much more interesting.
Blizzard has put the High elf aesthetic and possibly the High Elf story going forward onto Void Elves.
That’s where this request came from, not because Void Elf paladins make sense, but because of the hot glued High Elf aesthetic that has been included into them, and if we think of it that way, it makes sense, there ARE High Elf paladins.
