Why do you hate Voidform? #removevoidform

It doesn’t matter how many times you suggest it.

The suggestion of “Just make voidform a talent” is an incredibly shortsighted and quite frankly, ridiculous suggestion that has no substantial merit.

Just a few of the problems this suggestion pose are:

1. Trying to balance a talent that completely changes the mechanics of the class while having the same spell pool
2. What if the voidform talent is the best option for that row? Congratulations, now you’re exactly back to square one because you’re going to take that talent, and you’re going to use voidform, solving nothing because if it’s a substantial DPS increase, no one is going to accept you without you taking that talent. I hope you’re not looking at BFA talents and basing your decision off that, because talents throughout WoW change all the time.
3. Trying to balance Shadow Priest talents with a talent that doesn’t synergize with any of the other talents or spells since you’ve reverted back to shadow orbs and Shadow Priest needs to be completely reworked to fit around that mechanic again for current content.
4. How do you add to Shadow Priests in the future? Now you have to add spells for both the shadow orbs mechanic and the voidform mechanic.
5. How do you balance numerical changes to the shadow orbs mechanic when you have a complete separate mechanic as a talent that needs to also then be balanced numerical by the same measure? How do you even compare the two in order to accurately adjust both mechanics?

We discussed the finer points in this thread some days ago.
It might not be a smooth way to make void form a talent but its a start. I’m sure if blizzard tried then they might come up with something. By try I mean actually try, not just throw it at the wall and clapping each other on the back while it slides down dripping and drooling on the floor lol.

Also, If its so hard to balance around and your forced to only play the way blizzard cough intends then that’s more of a reason to go Shadow Orbs route as at least there, you can have option and choices as how you want to play Shadow… our only DPS spec.
