Melee players, since Vanilla I have never Zugged . I have dabbled in zugging on a rainy day with some quests, but I want to know what it’s like to constantly be in the thick of things, smacking people with absurdly sized weapons, praying that someone - anyone - is going to heal you, and trying to dodge stuff on the ground when there’s six million effects going on around the boss.
Prediction: “I didn’t choose the zug life, the zug life chose me”
Being outside of the “thick of things” is boring.
Always my primary gripe with melee, and the graphical bonanza that is modern WoW is too much for my pea brain to handle.
I don’t main melee but sometimes when I get frustrated with incessant movement colliding with cast times I’ll sign onto a melee alt. Sometimes it feels good to dart around wailing on things with the only thing to keep in mind is standing in the enemy’s hitbox but NOT the fire.
I prefer the safety of range.
for the glory
“Wait? Was it stand in the fire and out of the hitbox, or out of the fire in the hitbox, I can’t remember!”
The Zug I have to heal
Range players die too. Apparently the few mechanics you all have to dodge are too much
I never Zug on the 1st date. But buy me a steak dinner and ill zug zug
Me that kind of orc.
If you ain’t never been to the zug. Don’t never come to the zug. Cuz you wouldn’t understand the zug. Stay out of the zug!
wats zug? /10
it’s a well kept secret but it’s actually easier
half of the mechanics are for ranged - melee be chillin.
it’s also much easier to dodge a cone/cleave when youre close to the source less travel time.
To zug is pretty easy. The ranged/healers do a lot of the important mechanics while you tunnel zug.
You will have to get used to looking at dragon butt and learning where not to stand.
The true test is to zugzug (tank) where sometimes you will have your back to a wall to minimise knockback/maximise space; dragon bosom taking up most of your screen; the shockwaves become more challenging because they always face you
Me like smash.
Me like no think.
Me sometimes die stand in fire.
But is okay. Healer is nice. Let smash more!
You don’t choose the Zug life the Zug life chooses you
Nah. Being in the thick of things is enjoyable as a tank. Literally anything else is irrelevant.
I just really like hitting things
