We want to play our alts in the fun content. But there’s a big wall of boring content ahead of us that we need to get through for weeks. It’s demoralizing.
I can’t do that though, the guild achievement requires 59 characters at max level and I don’t know what the level squish is going to do to that… so I have to grind them up right now.
With regards to why fix something I already did…by that same logic, we shouldn’t cure cancer because someone beat it once. Tough it up and fight harder brah
Stahp. Essences are a brand new system layered on top of what already existed. They can be changed or removed without having to degenerate into ridiculousness.
I believe the core problem is what kind of “effort” it is.
I like the essence I get from doing M+ itself - that makes sense, you time a 7 and get the reward, you earned it doing the content appropriate to earn it. Same for the mechagon dungeon essences…
Having to rep grind solo dumb quests every day in Mechagon to get a reputation essence useful NOT in that content, useful MOSTLY in raid and M+. That’s the disconnect - it’s dumb to lock stuff you need for challenging content behind brain-dead dumb content.
Easy to fix. Make the null barrier essence require timing 10 dungeons at M2 for rank 1, 10 at M7 for rank 2, 10 at m10 for rank 3… that kind of thing.
My “curable by medicine disease” shouldnt be cured people got better before and/or without the medicine.
Point being is we dont use such stupid logic in life and shouldn’t here. Essences are a horrible system that goes against the gearing and progression system. I wouldnt care if they were all like the mythic+ ones that auto drop from a 4, 7, and 10
