Why do we need to change how 2pc works

Common sense would dictate inside the class since multiple classes share same roles inside the specs

Unless youre saying my Rogue is getting a shot at having a 4 second Shield Wall during its 2 piece?

  • 2pc: Your healing spells have a chance to apply Insurance! to their targets that heals them for 805,686 over 15 sec. Insurance! is consumed if an ally drops below 40% health to heal them for 386,756.

Is going to be the 2 piece bonus for Holy Priest, Disc Priest, Mistweaver, Resto Shaman, Resto Druid, Prevoker, and Holy Paladin.

They haven’t shown what the DPS 2 piece is yet but it will be the same for Rogue, Warlock, Mage, Windwalker, etc.

Boring. Low effort. And disproportionately so.

So three rogue specs will share the same 2pc but no monk specs will share a 2 pc. “Don’t pigeon hole us into a talent choice” != “Homogenize all of my set bonuses and give more variety to certain classes.”

They did.

2pc: Each time you take damage you have a chance to cast Shield Wall for 4.0 sec and gain Luck of the Draw!, which increases your damage dealt by 15% for 10 sec.

So all DPS are going to get to proc Shield Wall by your claims

We might lose one or two of the 8 people that still main a Rogue.

Why do you think DPS would get the Tank 2pc bonus when the bonus is role specific.

That’s the Tank 2 piece. All tanks will have a chance to cast their major defensive CD for 4 seconds and gain Luck of the Draw which increases damage by 15%. IDK why they did it this way for tanks only instead of just giving a flat DR to all tanks for 4 seconds so that it is actually equal for all tanks. That’s just Blizz doing Blizz things.

I’d take being stuck to a talent choice over having a generic set bonus for every dps spec in the game if those are the only two options. So weak.

XD WoWhead comments are the funniest things. Saw a dozen people with paid WoWhead subscriptions crying about whales buying cosmetics in WoW

It just ultimately means the tier sets are more boring since the 2pc, by design, has to be something very basic so as to work for all members in that role and the 4pc is based off the 2pc. It’s almost like they let AI handle making it.

Like the prot warrior 2pc is gain their big CD and gain a buff doing more DPS and the 4pc is while they have the buff their signature ability has 50% crit and crits lower another CD by X seconds. That is a model that can almost be cut and paste for all the other tanks with some minor tweaks. Like I doubt they’ll let DKs have 6 seconds off DRW per crit while giving our HS a 50% bonus crit while we also get additional CDR from being hit…why that may let us have significant to not full uptime and may even push us to not be the defacto weakest DPS tank.

Shield Wall is exclusive to Warriors

The 2-piece is going to based on role within a given class. The priest 2-piece is going to be for Disc and Holy, other classes will have different 2-pieces for their healing specs

I didn’t say the current 2pc aren’t generic, of course they are.

No, every tank will have that same 2pc, just flip Shield Wall for whatever their major defensive is.

Then it isn’t the same 2-piece, because the “equivalent” ability across different tanks have different uses or talents that affect them

Ardent Defender is weaker but has a shorter cooldown

Fortifying Brew has a longer cooldown and is split between max health and damage reduction

Metamorphosis is an increase to health, armor, and healing rather than raw damage reduction

If they were to just flip the abilities between classes and call it a day that would cause all kinds of issues with class balance that they’re more than likely trying to fix in the first place by normalizing tier bonuses like this. Not every major defensive cooldown is made equally

I don’t know I’m looking at new tier pieces and feeling I’d rather like
(2): 2000 of your highest secondary
(4): 2000 of your main stat

The game is already bloated with buffs, don’t really want one more moreover as it seems you’ll want to track it.
Making defensives for tanks proc randomly isn’t much relevant.
But I guess they want to make it work on theme and goblins must mean rng?
