Why can I not earn this mount by completing the questline on my main character?
You want me to level my second warlock I haven’t touched since like Legion, who is currently level 54, all the way to 70, drag here through the entirety of the Azure Span Storyline (and possibly the entire Dragonflight Storyline, as we aren’t entirely sure of the pre-requisite for the new storyline), just to get this mount?
Why are we not able to get this mount on our mains when an account-wide achievement proving we have this staff on our account exists?
Cataclysm was a LONG time ago - to assume we are still playing the same toon is asinine.
Knowing blizzard I would say I bet the mount will ONLY be usable by character with the staff and will not appear in the mount journal for any other character.
Honestly the only sucky part, they haven’t fixed/updated yet is the first part where you need the frags to open the portal.
Shannox you need a 2nd person or a pet just for dog threat.
I think it’s more so, they don’t want to dust off the alt with the staff.
I don’t know, I don’t quite get it either… I have hotkeys on my caster’s bars JUST to use this mount lol. One for the staff, one to reequip my actual weapons.
But if you appreciate the mount, you won’t care to do the questline.
I just came looking for the same thing. My toon that has my staff isn’t my main, it is 70, but hasn’t done a single step of the campaign in DF (it was leveled via time walking in the run up to 10.1). I wish there was a skip like there was in SL, but nope, and instead I can’t see anything on her. I could do the new questline on my main, but of course it can’t do the part to unlock the mount. This expansion while being relatively ALT friendly, has seemed to miss the mark in some areas like this.
I’ve heard that not only do you have to do it on that toon, but the mount is only account wide for people who have completed the quest “Rhapsody in Blue” which is only available to…people who have the staff…and it’s the quest that gives the mount.
Rendering its account wide status entirely pointless
Sad my staff is on a char that is on my second wow account that doesn’t have DF and doesn’t have a sub…and I can’t be bothered to do this quest line again for a skin that is meh when next patch I can use a skin I really like from one of the mounts they let me use to dragonfly…
I did finish the Azure Span campaign on my main that has Dragonwrath. Is that considered to be the Blue Dragonflight quest chain or is there something else I need to do?
Clarification: Despite being an Account Level Mount, alts that have not completed the ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ quest don’t currently appear to be able to use the Tarecgosa’s Visage mount. Since having the staff is a pre-requisite for being able to see the ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ quest, it’s likely only characters that have obtained Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest can use this new mount. We’ll continue to update this post if we learn more.
Yep. I have 3 characters with staff, one of them done the whole quest chain and got the ‘mount’. Took a complete restart to get the mount to show up in the journal, but none of my other character can see the mount. Even the 2 other characters with the staff.
Stop trying to devalue characters. Not everything should be account wide. Get off your butt and go spend the minimal time required to get the staff if you want the mount.
