What?
Also what does flying have to do with endgame content? It’s for more efficiently flying around casual stuff.
That’s mostly a knowledge/skill issue, though.
although a reduction in honor cost for upgrades would be beneficial.

That’s just plain wrong.
“rocket surgery” - a play on words used to show how absurd something is.
Much like your take.
There, you are welcome.
Oh you think farming currency THEN waiting on research to finish for 6 days isn’t mobile game tactics?
Where did I say end game content? I said MEANINGFUL content.
Is earning the ability to fly not meaningful?
If anything it’s too easy these days. 5k gold used to be a reasonable sum, now just everybody gets it.
They really overdo it with handouts these days, things used to mean something.
Every time a player logs in, that counts for MAU. If the game design forces that player to spend more time doing their game activity, chances are relatively high that player may not accomplish their goal in one session, thus upping the chance of them having to log in again later to complete it. Thus adding to the total MAU.
Flying shouldn’t be behind a grind. It never was back when wow was a better game.
Wow’s always been easy except for the highest end. Where have you been?
5k was for fast flying, not flying itself. That cost is still in the game.
Oh like “welfare gear” in BC? Sure…
It was 5000g back when the game was popular, though, which was inaccessible to most people.
60% flying was dreadful.
Inflation etc.
That wasn’t the cost of flying.
Doesn’t matter that was basic flying.
An excellent counterpoint.
5k meant something then, now it’s free.
Better than any “point” you’ve made.
5k was NOT flying cost. Why don’t you understand that?
Never said they haven’t. But I refuse to believe that pathfinder is up there with those other issues you’ve mentioned.
That’s not what MAU is.
It’s just another issue.
So, how many MAU’s has Blizzard lost, since you are so interested?
Feb 3 earnings call should be fun. The current trajectory is not encouraging, and like a lot of ATVI’s own employees said, changes need to happen in several areas.
As someone else said in this thread, you’re conjuring up more elaborate lore elements to things than there has to be.
It could just like the Korthia skip: Do it on your main and your alts are covered. They just have to do the horrible burdensome task of talking to a single NPC.
Reaching and don’t care. They need to learn some self control then.
Apparently you need the last muttered word, so …… ready? Aaaaaand… GO!
Oh that started in Cata when people just started sitting in SW and Org using random dungeons to level up with .
Garrisons were no different . They were just another place to queue up and chat in Trade.
THey just get blamed as being the problem .
I see some of you saying engagement metrics but like, player numbers are not increasing each expansion they’re decreasing. So why continue doing something that’s driving people away? Metrics are not being increased by this at all.
Pot kettle … kettle pot
I’m thinking at this point they don’t care. Blizzard probably makes twice as much from token sales as they do from subs so as long as the whales stay they’ll be happy.
Since they can survive on the whales they keep flying away out of spite. They don’t care about giving players a fun experience they just care about keeping players as payers.
