Why do trolls have a yellow skin option?

I read up on all the sand troll lore I could find and none of it mentions joining the horde, but it does mention not everyone went along with the sand troll traitor from bfa, Sand trolls were even present during the kings funeral.

The other possibility is shatterspear as they were with the horde for a time but it says they went back to their homeland when the sitiuation died down and that they are largely non violent.

There was also no quests or anything to explain the new skin colors like how dreanei/zombie elves/special eye color night elve and blood elf got theirs.

Are we just to assume they are sand troll left overs who joined us after the kings death? Or shatterspear that gave up their peaceful ways?

Probably nothing that deep, but if you’re a castoff from another tribe, i don’t think the Darkspear really care about who you were with, they get along great with the Revantusk and what’s left of the Shatterspear. Could be that a sand troll realized their leadership was a dead end and is doing stuff with the Zandalari/Darkspear

Troll heritage would’ve been an opportunity to establish ties with Sand Trolls.

Despite our former disagreeances in the past, THIS I completely agree with :fist:

Would’ve been neat to see that the Horde had embraced other troll tribes over the years. Heck you could’ve had a story like:

  • “We the Darkspear … Achieved what Zul could not! We unified troll tribes from all over Azeroth – and have began a greater path to glory for our people, unseen for ages.”

— Giving reference to being the first troll domino in the Horde & extending towards the others. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

You could have also had more heritage gear colours … and perhaps more masks :eyes:

Zul did unify the Trolls, it’s the Darkspears who turned down the offer via Vol’Jin. I don’t like downplaying the feat he achieved. And it pains me we had to stop it. I’d rather join it and help it grow.

I meant by Zul failing at forging them to a greater path to glory for their tribes.
He unified them – but failed to secure a future for them.

All that was left, was their people more desecrated & diminished — and the deaths of their most revered.

Blizzard can’t allow trolls to unite and proser. They’d sooner open path of redemption for literal demons than they’d for trolls, lol.

Funny enough, I made a thread of mine recently advocating towards & for the unification of trolls + the uplifting of the Darkspear tribe!

If you wanna show your support of it, go towards → The Horde Trolls need their mojo back :sparkles:
