the explanation is: “this is a video game. gameplay > lore”
And you’re why people are opposed to it. Go play pong if you want that degree of story/lore.
Holy steak.
The only real requirement is establishing a connection to a source of “The Light”
My grandkids tell me that Blood Elves became Paladins by capturing one of the wind chime aliens and draining Light from it. Only later it was revealed that it was part of its plan all along. If you can b come a Paladin by force, then any dedication to a source of Light can be justified.
It’s because they \[T]/ praise the sun!
Yeah, we did do that a little bit. ![]()
Tauren Paladins exist because the Light invested itself within them as they called out for its strength. It doesn’t have the same name, but it has the same potency because it is an entity all its own.
Though I also agree that Forsaken should be able to be Paladins. In fact, I support all classes being available for all races, because it’s beyond stupid to say ‘you couldn’t possibly be a Paladin because you happen to have fur or a hunchback’.
Really dude? After spending all day in the Kul’Tiran paladin thread?

All of the races have spent many years together, except for Dracthyr, so it would make sense for training to have spread.
Why do you exist buddy? Racist and classist!
Because they are so cute you just want to snatch them and put them in your cute little huge purse and protect them.
When everyone is special nobody is special… Removing class/race restrictions is dumb.
I think the game should have stopped at TBC. Pallies were what they were, only BE could be pallies on horde, only dreanei could be shaman on alliance. The game was perfect. The lvling from 1 to 60 was smoother than in vanilla, but not as rush as it is theese days, and 60 to 70 was perfect too.
Nostalgia
well… its the same type of logic of how the priestess of elune magic is light somehow… and not just arcane balance druid stuff.
Necro, But wanna add my two cents anyway.
If the only way one could be a paladin is to follow human religion, then only humans would be paladins. The light being a nebulous concept is fine. All it requires is faith in it (or a vector of it) to call upon.
Wholeheartedly agree. It’s sooooooooo dumb
I’d rather have cowadins over undead paladins. Neither if it were my choice.
Yeah!
Like goat people!
To perpetuate the pun, ‘holy cow’
/the more you know ![]()
So I’m not sure if this was stated in this forum yet because I don’t feel like reading over 100 comments. But the reason the horde can be paladins at all is because they kidnapped some paladin dude, imprisoned him and they are using a spell to harness his powers. Just fyi Lore wise.
