Why do Tauren Paladins exist?

I wonder what other race could be given paladins and priests for this exact same reason but haven’t been given them because of Blizzard’s obsession with class/faction balance.

because blizzard added them into game.

Probably a multitude.

The Light is just a power source like any of the other great cosmic powers.

I do like the idea of paladins for Forsaken.

I also enjoy the idea of night elves (through Elune) and Worgen (Elune or regular holy light church).

Not to mention Gilneas had the most iconic Cathedral to the Light, but nah evil doggos and curses, lawl.

I don’t mind Tauren paladins, but it makes me wonder why NEs have been denied them for so long now.

Undead paladins 2021.

I think this idea makes sense since Undead priests are also a thing.

Yes. Being different is okay

because… “Holy Cow!”… i’ll see myself out.

I mean you could just look it up.

Because through worship of Azeroth’s sun they can gain holy powers. Why do the Night Elves, the actual race with “the closest relationship with nature” the option to pick Priest as a class? “Like, did they just think ‘tall elf look nice n pretty in cloth so lets give it priest’?” Before you misconstrue the point I made, Blizzard can write lore for any race/class combination in this universe.

One does not simply tell a Malkavian to “look it up”.

Because Sun worship is somehow Holy Light worship :person_shrugging:

Yeah undead paladins make about as much sense as vinegar and baking soda.

The discussion I was having about Kul Tiran Paladins devolved. People just can’t grasp how lore works and how things change over the course of the entire Warcraft universe.

Grumble in resentment like I already do at every Tauren paladin

So long as there is an explanation for it. That’s all that matters.

The Sunwalkers are an order of tauren paladins . It was formed by Aponi Brightmane after a series of theological discussions with Tahu Sagewind about the importance of balancing out the night-elven focus on moon-worship through reverance of light as part of their worship of the Earth Mother. In that regard, the Sunwalkers are warriors who wield the power of An’she as they did in the past, the sun in tauren mythology. These ‘paladins’ exist alongside the renowned Seers, tauren priests led by Tahu Sagewind who also wield the power of An’she. The emergence of the Sunwalkers is a sign of troubling times and consequently, the unending duty the tauren race has to the Earth Mother, in which hope is their greatest weapon.
