Im not talking about cata I’m talking about the months before it was released.
Like I said your name checks out.
Because you are in denial of reality.

Fresh server is giving you a false view of what happens on old servers. Heaps of people on older servers have already rolled and levelled alts, and there is hardly anyone in the previous expansion zones of vanilla and tbc. Also heaps of players at max level are just raiding now as they don’t need to do much as they have fast mounts. There simply is no reason for them to group.
I get near instant invites even when queueing as DPS, LFG tool more than surpassed my expectations RDF was entirely unnecessary. I think people underestimate how bad it would be for the game to have cross realm RDF
Ok, please elaborate. We keep seeing these vague handwavy statements about what it will do to the game, yet I have seen little actual data or verifiable resources showing exactly what it will do to the game.
All that has been provided is personal feelings or opinions, nothing tangible.
LFG sucks. You can only queue for one group at a time. If they take their time to accept you , you could miss many other potential groups. It’s a total trash system in that regard.
Playing with people you will never see again because it’s pooled from an impossibly huge amount of players really does ruin it, you might as well be playing FF14 with NPCs in your group playing with people in your realm is immensely better and you having to fly to dungeons is a lot better for immersion
A) I’m already playing with people I’ll never see again when pugging a dungeon so RDF has zero impact there.
B) Regardless of whether you’ll never see them again they’re still human players not bots.
I’ve matched with same players before and had fun interactions like someone saying they want to recruit me because of how good I was playing, in retail it does feel like you’re playing with bots who cares you can’t even see them in your major city
The problem is really cross realm which RDF must have to work.
Do cross realm LFG and I’m happy.
Then just continue grouping in chat, RDF does not prevent that, problem solved.
In fact RDF should even improve the experience as you’ll be playing with like minded players.
I can’t see half the people on my own server in the cities. So who cares?
Umm… what?
The reason the LFG tool is so good is because everyone is using it, I am amazed at how fast groups form. RDF would cannibalize it because no one would need to form the group it’s a lot easier. And I don’t care about like-minded people the only time people complain about RDF is on the forums no one is crying about it in group chats. I’d be fine with RDF but it being cross server feels icky and entirely unnecessary I want to play with people on Ateish I think there is value keeping the realm relevant even if it’s for “emotional” reasons
Well, you see, if you had read the whole thing instead of cutting off the sentence in favor of making a snide remark… you’d undertand.
The problem is really cross realm which RDF must have to work.

if you had read the whole thing instead of cutting off the sentence in favor of making a snide remark…
I DID read it, actually. It still contradicts itself.

Then you have limited comprehension. Let me explain…
The problem is really cross realm which RDF must have to work.
He says here that RDF must have cross realm to work.
Then he says
Do cross realm LFG and I’m happy.
He’d be happy with no RDF, and just a cross realm LFG tool.
It’s really simple when you use you’re thinking brain.
He says here that RDF must have cross realm to work.
He says cross-realm is the PROBLEM. Yet, he’d be happy with cross-realm LFG.
you’re thinking brain.
The irony is outstanding…
Dude dude dude. I read it perfectly fine. I think you saw an opportunity to make a joke, and by cutting off the last part of the sentence, you got your jab in.
Sad attempt. Learn to read. I’d stop now if I were you.

Please explain to me where he didn’t say,
The problem is really cross realm

RDF would remove the people who just want to get a group and get the dungeon done.
LFG Tool/Chat would remain for people who care about who their grouping with for whatever reason, be that they think it’s more social, or they want to do something like a specific achievement etc…
The two serve different purposes and both have their uses and both would be used
