Same OP. LFG is so EZ to use. I don’t understand why people have issues with it.
There is only one thing that is wrong with it. The annoying Refreshing swirly. They need to fix this bug.
I log in to heal our 25m raids on Tuesday and I do the cooking daily to provide spices to the guild. Wrath feels pretty boring outside raids and I refuse to provide a success metric for them by using their awful replacement tool.

It’s also easy to just raid log like I did in Classic and TBC. I miss spamming dungeons in OG Wrath. I have learned to just raid log in Wrath Reforged.

Wow you are one of the few people here who understands that RDF and LFG are two entirely separate and different systems and used the terms correctly as well.
I can see where you are coming from and I agree with some of your post but not all of it.
But you do also need to realize that there are too few people playing WoW Classic now for us to be able to mirror and mimic what we did in the past when we originally did this stuff.
because it’s really buggy. The system cannot tell what spec you are so it just assigns you as a random role. Having to manually select your role every time you join a group or queue is exausting. IDK who they have working on the LFG tool but it’s bad. The tool bugs out with searching constantly until either a reload or relog is performed. Also why can below level 80 players queue for heroic dungeons. I constantly see level 78s and 79s queue’d for heroic dungeons and I bet they don’t even know it. Another ridiculous thing is that you cant be queue’d and then search for people in the tool. It just doesn’t work it bugs out and gets stuck on searching forever. Also if you press refresh multiple times the tool just breaks and you have to wait for it to fix itself. GARBAGE!

i bet you didnt even play og wrath. Because no one just spammed dungeons when they didnt need to. Raidlogging was just as prevalent back then as it is now. Don’t try to twist it.

wrong. i was there, i did exactly that to help out fellow faction members. because it was fun to be a paladin and be helpful. and then there was queing in rdf with a five man to make it easier to get to and from dungeons for those short on time and we ran ALOT of the lower level dungeons and it was really nice to not be spending gold and time on flight paths. so take your
and quit speaking for everyone juts because YOU didnt. others did and had ALOT of fun doing it. and by others, im not speaking for any majority or minority or people i dont know, im speaking for my guild mates. we all did.
we are the generation where a majority of people have a heart attack when needing to make a phone call instead of a text message
Can’t speak for everyone, but my issue was there being no one in it the entire time I leveled from 1-15 and only seeing three people in the world the entire time with a dead silent general chat.

Highly unlikely you even played wrath either. Because raidlogging was just as prevalent as it now. Maybe on your trash server it was different.
alliance is the minority on eranikus and that server isn’t full or even close to being high on alliance side.
That’s not what happens in reality - in retail I often saw the same people - and lfg is a total pain in wrath - especially for a dps - trying to watch lfg while questing and respond its difficult.

The server list said high or full one of the two when I made the character, can’t expect a normal or new player to know the faction numbers or go outside of the game to a third party to find that information which isn’t always 100% accurate or up to date.
Sometimes I think I should just change my name to “Nobody” or “No one” considering how often I see people claim that No one or Nobody ever did the things I used to enjoy.

There’s literally an option for your default role…
I have used it! I have put myself in the list for all dungeons and have not recieved an invite in hours. to which the response is always “create your own group then”.
So I created my own group and spend 30 mins spamming the LFG channel while sitting in dalaran not playing the game, finally manage to get a group wait another 10 mins for 1 other person to get to the stone and run a 20 min dungeon where the only socialization is the gg and ty for group at the end.
rinse repeat. 40 mins of wasted time for a 20 min dungeon no thanx. at least with RDF I could be playing the game while I wait for a dungeon.
I admit that my experience is not the same as others I am on a server with a very low horde population and a really high alliance population.
also for those leveling pre 70 there are 0 groups to be joined which would be solved by x-realm RDF. I would even be fine if heroics were not in RDF for now just let levelers get a GD group

I had 1 success yesterday using the LFG tool on my druid. I queued myself as DPS and did a refresh and saw 1 tank 1 healer and a handful of dps’ers queued, so i sent a pm to the tank and said hey i see a healer lfg too, can i join you and lets get the healer, meanwhile - i sent the healer a tell hey i see you are heals and there is a tank in lfg can i join ya guys within a few minutes one of them invited me and the other and within a few minutes a full team was formed. However no one talked, it was like I was playing with 4 ai bots. the group was fine, we completed the dungeon and at the end someone mentioned they were afk for the whole thing (not sure how they were able to play afk while we went thru the dungeon) but wow 1 successful LFG group in the books for me

Maybe it depends on server, but my priest healer doesn’t really find groups any faster than my boomkin, at least for the daily. The volume of healers is quite high, and tanks seem to be the limiting factor on pagle. For sure there’s a lot of tanks, but they don’t continue to do heroics (not even the daily) once raid geared from what I can tell while raid geared healers often do.
I’ll admit that my experience might be different if I had a ret paladin instead of a balance druid (no way for me to know).
and with rdf your excess of healers would help those other realms with low tank population and your lack of tanks would be filled with tanks from other servers.
