I get that back in the day, you needed to separate the game population onto different servers due to technical limitations, but realistically, those limitations have been surpassed and the technology exists that all WoW servers could be united into one server, for the benefit of the community, and the game as a whole.
This is especially evident in classic, where the population is counted in the thousands, not millions, as it was back in WotLK; and due to the population being so fragmented, faction balance is completely garbage across ALL realms - to the point that basically every server is a PvE server, and that’s a situation that players intentionally created to have the benefits of playing on a pvp server, without the drawback of having to compete for resources, or events.
If all servers were united, there would be no more faction imbalance, the game would feel more alive than ever, and guilds wouldn’t be falling apart because they can’t fill raids on smaller servers. Get it done blizz.
I’m pretty sure this should be in the TBCC forums where this is a common concern (SoM has server issues but they aren’t quite the same). You should change your post to go to the Burning Crusade forum. You can do that by using the pencil at the bottom of your post and changing the forum in the dropdown box beside the title.
I totally get what you’re saying. I talk about this stuff a lot over there.
