That they are obligated in no way to provide to you, and are not obligated at all to provide manpower to re-release, maintain and support. Yet they are, at no additional cost.
And here you are, “WELL I NOT ONLY WANT ALL OF WHAT YOUR GIVING ME BUT I ALSO WANT THE OTHER THING FOR THE SAME PRICE”
You’re overwhelmingly blinded by your own entitlement.
I said retail is trash. Did I say I hated classic or TBC? clearly i want to play TBC and already have and still may want to play classic depending on if they trash the servers.
Yes I re-upped when SL came out, content sucked and I went back to classic and am excited for TBC. Its still not a new game and not a remaster I just want to play the games they already released and I already made progress on. why is that hard to understand?
Imagine being upset about a company wanting to make money… its $35 like who cares lol? Especially when its not even mandatory to keep playing? I feel like if you want to clone your character that bad and you cant afford it you shouldn’t be spending $15 a month sub fee on a game.
Because you seem to think you should get everything in Classic for free just because access to Classic itself is a free bonus for your retail subscription
I do understand that. People offered to give blizz the code. Did you read or watch into the Nostalrius private server and all they did to push for classic including offering the code which they then gave to another Pserver to start up which made blizz mad.
My point is you pay to “relive” the experience or experience it for the first time but lets put this in another example: you progress in dark souls (or another game). They release a remastered version and continue along the chain but in this one you get to carry over your character and continue your journey but when I pop in the disc for DS1 it comes up saying to import your character data back it will be $35 even though you already progressed through that game.
Its a dumb argument and too steep a price is the point.
You did. Thats the whole point. You pay the sub and you work you butt off for the gear you want. What did you pay for in classic??? other than your subscription to play???
But… Its not another character. Im not seeing what is so hard to understand. Its the same exact character cloned exactly the way to left it May 17.
You arent getting a second one. They are releasing an “expansion” and already will have your characters cloned on 5/17. Theres literally nothing you should need to pay except your sub, the burning pass, the boost (and I think that’s about it). 79 bucks for the burning pass with a $35 character clone each for toons they already cloned… with tax over $114 for a game thats more expensive than most AAA deluxe editions.
I get people will pay it… but why is everyone just bending over like its something they fully should be doing?
I don’t know what you are talking about. I’m not complaining about it. It’s a continual fee to play the game.
Honestly, its disingenuous when people say you are getting TBC for free when you aren’t. This has nothing to do with blizzard services like cloning, transferring etc…but when people use “TBC is free” as a justification for additional costs, they are disingenuous.
Additional costs exists for services, they don’t exist to make up for the lost revenue of offering a “free product”.
Yes you are. It’s an exact copy of your existing character but it is still a second character. The character doesn’t move back and forth between Vanilla Classic and TBC Classic, it’s two different characters that, after cloning, follow an entirely different path of progression
You are doubling the progress you’ve already made without having to put forth any effort for that doubled progress. That should cost a fee
