Lack of short hair options.
Lack of pretty faces.
There is some jaw jewelry not given to males. And chin jewelry.
Lack of color diversity for many hair and skin tones. The white hairs are barely dyed as if dried out.
They could use a couple more skin tones and tattoos.
You would expect some shared hairstyles with night elves similar to how void elves have some blood elf hairstyles.
Felborne customization was not given when they have access to warlocks.

People donā€™t like them because, other than the silhouette, they look nothing like the Nightborne NPCS that people fell in love with.

Especially the males. People are generally okay with the females, and just have issue with the face, but it almost looks like they didnā€™t even try with the males. From their awkward animations and lack of necks, to their ugly ugly faces.

Not to mention, they really donā€™t have much customization at all.

Personally, I feel all the male Nightborne look old af, and like others have said the Nightborne as a whole, appear a tad stuck up ā€¦ If they had same facial features as Night Elves, or simply younger appeals Iā€™d feel a bit better playing them - personally.

Because, like the Kul Tirans, they are not exactly like the NPCs so no one likes them. I love my 2 Nightborne and I think they look great!! Yours look very pretty. Itā€™s all in how you think they look.

Some people say the ZTrolls look amazing, but I say they are extremely ugly. Itā€™s all in how each person sees them.

Most people hate Void Elves because theyā€™re not High Elves. They stole their thunder by stirring up a debate pot.

I donā€™t think they look bad but I also like the NEs so maybe Iā€™m biased, my only beef with them is the major back lean with the males stance.

I can see how people are disappointed in them though, the NPC nightborne look way more unique

Night elves are athletic and bouncy.

You are absolutely right. But Iā€™m not actually that bothered by the slight change in appearance. They are still a great looking race in their own right. Especially since they scaled down the size of the shoulder armor on the boys.

Mana hair would be nice though. I hadnā€™t even thought about it before but now I want it.

Have you seen a male nightborne? Theyā€™re hideous. They somehow look worse than night elves. They look so malnourished and weak. Theyā€™re so skinny that seeing one play something like a warrior is almost immersion-breaking. They look so fragile that accidentally bumping into something should break every bone in their body.

You are aware that the original Nightborne NPC models in Suramar always used the Night Elf bodyā€¦ they just had different head models and a different animation rig. I have no idea why people keep insisting that this isnā€™t the case, when it has always been this way. I have extracted the models before ARs were even a thing and compared them, they have the same body that they always had, and it is the same body that the night elves have.

The only thing that is different between the nightborne NPCs and playermodel is the facesā€¦ and the ā€œbody changeā€ that happened to the NPCs was only because players complained about the muscular night elf body on the playermodel, so they slimmed the model down and updated all the NPCs to have the new slimmer body, for consistency.

The face difference could have easily been fixed tooā€¦ blizzard just needs to make the Nightbore playermodel faces more angular.

You have two female Nightborne, they arenā€™t the problem(nearly as much)
the males look like constipated grapes, and neither gender (especially the males) looks like the original, they were very lazily done

also the heritage armour looks terrible on the males, since they decided to cover the torso , which should be bare, with some ugly padding

Pretty significant factors in a character modelā€¦ I remember questing in Suramar on my monk, the way she moved, attacked and looked was in every way superior to what we have currently.
