I’ve been a Warrior since TBC. Tried every class and Warrior was the only one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Tanked for years, then went to Arms in 3.3 when it was one of the worst specs in game. To this day it’s the only class that I enjoy playing.
Says the rogue with two teensy weensy little daggers.
When all else fails all that might be standing between you and a bloody death is someone with a big stick and some guts behind it.
I’m playing through the Legion Order Hall for the first time and this stuff is super dope
Broxigar is the orc’s name. He was Saurfang’s brother.
bruh, you dont just say his name just like that. You only speak of him with the highest regard and never in so few words. He is literally the greatest warrior to ever live of all time, and i dont mean of just all time, i mean OF ALL TIME. Literally makes Garrosh look like a peon. Literally the reason why if you choose to be an alliance warrior it’s literally because you are so dumb you didnt read wow lore before you played.
BEHOLD
The beauty of a “basic boring bowl haircut kind of class” is that its a blank slate to be anything you want and let your creativity come through. As opposed to something like, idk, an Undead Mage where its predetermined exactly how edgy your character can be and you don’t need to work your brain.
I get to dual-wield 2-handed weapons. How cool is that? I couldn’t resist the call of a Fury Furry if you’d paid me, but because of size scaling, I kinda wish I’d chosen a Tauren, to get the full look of dual 2-handers.
And there’s a lot to be said for “10 enemy? Hold my beer, I’ll be right back.”
Warriors are fun and they do use magic for self healing and strikes. It just isn’t as obvious.
Two words:
CO NAN
Have you ever heard of the Manga/Anime Berserk? I’d rather be Guts than Harry Potter.
I have to admit, when I was young, I liked the flashy classes. The insane power at top end of a mage, I identified with a ranger, I wanted to have the purity of a paladin and a warrior just felt weak.
Now that I am an old man, I realize everything I had ever accomplished was through sheer willpower, just like a warrior. I never had the luxury of having the benefits listed in the poem above.
This is why that poem spoke to me so strongly when I found it and I post it whenever I see “why do people play warriors”
“How dare people have fun in a way that isn’t the same as me!”
your elbows are too pointy
well it all started with Pat the warrior back in … 2006 i think?
Pat made warriors cool.
oh , and Anticide ofc.
Idk why do people play mages in a game packed full of other “magic” mages and spellcasters?
Spam that frostbolt, it will give you time to enjoy all my shiny muscles and steel. Get rawrecked!
Warrior’s have some of the best mog options in the game. Avatar and Thunderclap are pretty cool too.
Not mine, it’s an old quote I saved because it’s pure gold.
"Why? Because you hit things in the face with chunks of metal. Oh, sure, paladins do that, but they have the light to protect them. You have a chunk of metal strapped to your arm. When a DK wants to start a fight, he selectively pulls someone from far away into melee range with him.
You? You charge in and slap it in the face with a chunk of metal. When a Druid wants to self-heal, it casts a spell. When you want to self heal, you kill something and get so excited about it that when you attack the next thing, slapping it with a chunk of metal causes your wounds to close. When a rogue wants to kill a god, it sneaks up and stabs it in the back. When you want to kill a god, you leap fourty bleeping yards so you can start smacking the god around with chunks of metal.
You don’t have magic or energy or runes or chi, you just have the sheer power of how pissed off you are. When people need to be inspired, you shout at them until they feel stronger. When a warlock wants to scare someone, he works dark magic.
You? You scream so loud everyone runs like a girl. When a mage wants to interrupt someone from casting a spell, they throw their own magic to prevent it. You slap him in the face so hard he forgets what magic is.
Play a warrior. Be a badass."
It kinda sounds like you’re the one lacking creativity, and more importantly understanding, if you are unable to accept people’s responses.
