I just played through it again on my 5th character and timed it. It took exactly 51 minutes between starting the quest in Stormwind and choosing Threads of Fate in Oribos. Then you can level however you want; you can just do world quests as if it was a max level alt or farm herbs/ore. Are people seriously complaining that a quest chain that takes less than an hour is too long and repetitive when previous expansions required you to do the same quests over and over again to reach max level?

51 minutes is only 9 short of an hour. So going the āitās less than an hourā route was a poor argument.
People are tired of all the RP. Itās an intro. Many intros had skips. And previous expansions you had zone choices and could just do normal quests without the long dramatic RP you sit through for the Maw.
As an option to skip it, I fail to see the problem.

Not really. In MoP, you HAD to start with Jade Forest and it took a LOT longer than 1 hour and it was 10x as boring.
The only one thatās slightly long is placing the helm pieces at the beginning. You can skip pretty much everything else.

You only have to click her 3 times, itās not that bad. Just do something else while she talks. It takes like 2 minutes total, the horror.

Iām a big proponent of things being about the journey, but the secret ingredient is self-determination. The story in general lacks that, and Threads of Fate manages to showcase why the current content design canāt really support it.

that was how many years ago? we donāt have that issue anymore. i understand the expansion is still new but the RP is such a drag.

I found every previous expansion worse to level through tbh. I just donāt understand being so annoyed by an easy intro that takes no time at all.

Unfortunately there is a chance for him to bug out on you if you donāt let him finish talking. It made me stuck not being able to click the last weapon rack. I had to drop the quest and do it over again.

later on they will probably add a āheard this tale beforeā thingo but as it stands, starting an alt is annoying especially with knowing we have other things to catch up on like covenant reknown etc. the maw is just another hurdle. how i see it anyway

I complained it was too longā¦ then I did it a second time without reading any of the quest text or taking more than 2 breaks, and it was suddenly very very fast.
