Why do people compare ff14 and wow for system’s differences?

Ff14 creates tons of new systems on the daily and nerf the old ones to the ground to the point of being unless. Nothing is being done different here.

Because people keep touting it as the WoW killer when, in reality, it just metastasized off of what has already been killing WoW for years now.

Never played it, is it worth investing in?

I’ve met a lot of players on FFXIV who were former WOW players, so I assume those who return to WOW from FFXIV are making comparisons between the two?

It’s a great solo experience with an actual story. But it’s raid and pvp content aren’t as good

It’s not a bad alternative.

I hope you like reading though.

Has no one got the funny yet? I guess I’ll wait.

FF is so much fun compared to BFA.

:100: :point_left:

Unless you are a fan of FF series there isn’t much reason to invest a lot of time. If you love ERP then go for it, thats pretty much the game.

It kind of killed itself (literally) and then rose from the ashes to not be a cr@p game. The pulled off a neat trick there.

Watching paint dry is more fun than BFA

Much like wow, it’s mostly confined to one server, and yes, it’s as bad as you hear just like moon guard goldshire inn.

True, true…I can’t deny that.

Eh, in comparison WoW is a whole a lot better of an MMO.

FFXIV is great, but its linear gear progression, and boring endgame make me not want to play it.

The one thing is does do better the WoW is the soundtrack. Man is it awesome.

Shadowbringers is certainly better than BfA. Will it be better than Shadowlands? I don’t think it will, but it’ll probably be close.

Systemlands is just a cheap knockoff of shadowbringers.

We need TBC servers to counter FF greatness at the moment! :100:

We all have our own opinions and this is mine!

Ive played both and WoW is superior, especially for Altaholics. In FF you can be all classes on one toon. But as per the last time I played it, you can’t replay story quests or zone quests. In WoW, I can have alts who have meaning for me and play through all content in my favorite zones as many times as I want. As a roleplayer I can bring different characters with their backstory to my favorite zones and have a blast. What if in wow you only got to do the quests and story quests for your favorite zones only ONE time? For me that would mean only Duskwood once. Only Silverpine once. Only Pandaria once. That is a big no for me. I cant play that way and I refuse to! I left fftrash behind and happy to be in Wow.

So there is no system that exists in FF that prevents you from creating more than one character… this is such an odd argument, if you don’t want all the classes on one toon, just make more toons…

They’ve added the ability to do that.

Not much incentive to do so - I find this is a major driving force for why the content in 14 feels so lackluster.
