I can’t think of a single bit of evidence to any of this- even the initial supply of demon blood was used up in the drinking back on Draenor to my knowledge and they didn’t have anymore- not Mannaroth’s blood at any rate.
The Frostwolves initially fought against the humans alongside the other clans, but their destiny did lie with the Horde. Gul’dan later confronted Durotan in secret. The warlock told him that his clan was no longer part of the Horde and that the Frostwolves had to leave the Black Morass immediately. If they ever returned, if they ever contacted any member of the Horde, Gul’dan promised to destroy every Frostwolf male, female, and child. Durotan was loath to part from his fellow orcs, but he had just learned that his mate, Draka, was pregnant. He did not want to risk her, or their unborn child, by testing Gul’dan. And he knew why Gul’dan was letting them live for if Durotan were killed, it would make him a martyr and give his warning weight among the rest of the Horde.
Apparently accepting their fate, Durotan and the Frostwolf clan settled deep in a hidden valley in the Alterac Mountains, far to the north of the Kingdom of Azeroth. While there, Drek’Thar had forsaken the path of the warlock and was able to regain the favor of the spirits, and return to shamanism. His aid would be invaluable in surviving in the harsh lands which the Frostwolves now called home; in addition to ensuring that the encampment was not flooded in the spring thaw, they also befriended the white wolves that made the valley their home. In the year 1,[14] Draka, Durotan’s mate and most stalwart supporter, gave birth to Durotan’s son and heir, the orc who would become known as Thrall. Realizing that there was far more at stake now that his legacy would live on, Durotan decided to take action against the evil Gul’dan, and made a meeting with the only other orc who had stood by him: Orgrim Doomhammer.
yeah but now we are getting into speculations country as they never really confirmed they had stopped doing it either. Not to mention they could always summon more demons for blood even possibly Mannaroth himself as we have seen Guldan summon him.
We know that Ogrim took over from the Shadow council we can presume he stopped the practice then as he intended to ween his people off the demon blood. However outside of that we really don’t have anything indicating they stopped the practice till then.
Even then if the Alliance removed the children from the parents even for the “preceived good reason” they would probably be condemned as warcrimes. I mean even putin as be listed has been listed a war criminal for doing this in the last week.
As per day of the Dragon they actually knew Alextrasza was captured(this was at the beginning of the book). It doesn’t take much to put 2 and 2 together to realize why her kids were working for the orcs.
Also, Krasus, as a literal dragon of the Kirin Tor would have know.
I mean the dragonmaw also knew enough that the chain of the demon soul could be used to enslave dragon after the fact as well.
You claimed Gul’dan wanted to magically age Thrall during the First War.
Thrall wasn’t born until Orgrim Doomhammer had already taken over the Horde during the Second War, meaning Gul’dan didn’t even know he existed. As for this:
This is just wrong on every level.
Gul’dan exiled the Frostwolves because Durotan was one of the few Chieftains who challenged his authority, he also refused to drink the blood of Mannoroth, and forbade his clan from drinking the blood as well, so Gul’dan didn’t trust him or the Frostwolves at all.
Their exile had nothing to do with Thrall, who once again, wasn’t born yet.
literal answer is a few post up and you still got it wrong.
No, Carhagen did not get it wrong. That does not say anything regarding Gul’dan knowing that Thrall existed. Gul’dan had never wanted to age Thrall up and force-feed him the blood. If he did, why did his agents leave him to die?
Go’el is the son of Durotan, former chieftain of the Frostwolf clan, and Draka. He was born in the year 1 in their new home in the Alterac Mountains. Soon after the birth, Draka and the child accompanied Durotan to a secret meeting with Orgrim Doomhammer in Loch Modan.[15] While in Loch Modan, Durotan warned Orgrim about the treachery of the warlock Gul’dan and his Shadow Council who used the orcish race as vassals to their ambition for power. Soon after, Durotan and his family were escorted by Orgrim’s personal bodyguards on their way home to the north when in truth, the guards were actually assassins loyal to Gul’dan and brutally murdered Durotan and Draka while leaving the infant Go’el to die helplessly in the wilderness.[16]
No durotan actively left the Horde because Draka was preggers with Thrall. He didn’t want to risk his unborn son being twisted by Guldan.
My wording might have been off but my point stands. Durotan didn’t want risk his son being twisted to serive guldan so left the Horde. He didn’t want to leave but had to protect his family.
No doubt Guldan knew about the child as he literally had guards who served him under Ogrim(aka the assassins that kill durotan and draka).
As I gave away all my wow novels can’t really reference them anymore sadly. But I thought there was a passage about Guldan wanting the child so he could use it to take over the clan.
man alliance players sure love slavery.
what the hell.
“This race does a lot of bad things! We should enslave it!”
I have heard that tune before!
There was not.
Gul’dan simply didn’t know that Thrall existed. He may have learned about the child from his assassins that were in Orgrim’s camp, but he had no interest in claiming the child for himself so he could ‘take over the clan’. If he had, he’d have made sure that his assassins took the child, rather than leaving it to be devoured by the forest creatures (which didn’t end up happening as Aedelas Blackmoore would find it a little while later)
Again, I offer the question, what should be the punishment to the Alliance be for having enslave these kids? And in turn what should the Alliance get to do to CHILD MURDERS/people who FREED CHILD MURDERS?
Good question.
We should absolutely punish the night elves for genociding trolls (and their children) and enslaving humans.
Not before we punish the trolls for enslaving goblins/attacking the fledgling humans.
Goblins didn’t exist before the nelves did it.
Wrong again.
In ancient times, the keeper Mimiron had discovered kaja’mite and, attempting to determinate its properties, he experimented on various races. He found that the ore was extremely potent and that it increased the intellect of his subjects. One of these subjects was a small primitive life race that roamed around the forests near Ulduar. By consuming kaja’mite, they were transformed into a new, highly intelligent race known as the goblins
Admittedly there enslaved happened after the Sundering though.
Also, depending on who you believe it was the other trolls who started the original conflict with the night elves. They were always openly hostile to them.(I would also point out we don’t know if they did kill troll children or not because the lore never mentioned it, only that they defeated the trolls)
The Nelves have never genocided trolls. Off the top of my head, the only example of a troll tribe being genocided would have been the Drakkari.
The thing about Night Elves though.
Is that they suck.
