Why do casuals care?

Pulling a “Clark” is now a meme too, the male equivalent of a Karen.

I think I was a insult briefly on the old forums. I had a bad meltdown and it kinda became a joke to quote some of the stuff I said when I was blowing up.

Oooo boy am I glad my brains in a better place after that @_@

It’s relatively important to note that the aggro GD casuals are not representative of actual WoW casuals.

Why do I care about a Barbarian with Engima spamming Teleport? Maybe because it looks stupid and ruins the fantasy of the game? Maybe I want Vampires to suck blood and dissolve into bats and not throw giant angelic spears or fart out fairy dust? Or I want Angels to fire beams of heavenly light, and to not have a third arm coming out of their back slapping stuff, or exsanguinating an a living being?

It’s called immersive fantasy.

Eh Clark in the end is harmless tho

Initially at least we need to be able to experiment with the different options before choosing what to stick with, which I think is reason enough for people of ANY skill level to care about it.

I personally think Renown should factor into it, with higher Renown meaning a longer or more difficult process of going back to that Covenant after leaving them. This would mean that people could freely go back and forth early on and experiment, but lose some of that freedom once they make a decision and start gaining Renown for a particular Covenant.

Should make a warning sign.

Are you against restricting transmog then? Because a Warlock can look like a Holy Priest with like 3 items - that also looks contrary to the fantasy of a Warlock

I just want to be able to try out abilities and different builds without having to jump through all the hoops.

I’m a casual. I could care less about switching. Going venthyr for no other reason that I love the Mail set.

Never been denied based on talents/azerite/essences/corruptions… why will covenants be different?

You’re in luck! You can and you will… before choosing!

Actual casuals sign on for like 2 hours a week and are still in blues 3 major patches in and have done only a handful of dungeons the entire xpac and are still working on clearing LFR. Even someone in heroic gear or even WQ gear I would say is not even close to casual

Nah. I want the system Blizzard is putting out.

Then I get to lock in for a whole expansion or risk extra grinds to switch… yay!

Nobody knows what this entails. The grind may only be for the one you turned your back on.

It’s pretty obvious Blizzard doesn’t want people hunting down off-set pieces from recolors. If they don’t show up in the “sets” tab that isn’t an “official” look for that character in 2020+. If “Chosen Dead” ToV pieces show up but not T2 plate recolors, then I think that speaks some level of volume about what is considered “correct” for that character.

We’re at a point where Blizzard largely can’t take features away from people. If Blizzard could remove features from WoW, I would be willing to bet that removing off-set tier transmogs would be on their list, considering they haven’t allowed that in several expansions (in Legion all plate/leather/etc looked exactly like YOUR tier set, not a static piece of art).

I am absolutely for restricting transmogs, yes. Sign me up. Warriors with T2 Paladin transmogs? No thanks, let’s get rid of that.

Min/Maxers will always find something to be biased against. If the Covenant abilities were talented overnight, you’d still get elitists that will insist ‘X Class is trash, Y Talent is trash, and Z Legendary is trash and thus you can’t join’.

Number gropers will always be groping numbers.

That’s fair.

Can’t be denied if your making your own groups just saying.
