Why do casuals care?

Honestly glad to see more and more people on the forums are expressing this point of view. Was worried I was outnumbered for a bit. But it’s starting to seem more like a 50/50 split.

Youre diminishing the importance of a spell we will play with for 2 whole YEARS.

Just an idea, what would you guys think of this as a compromise?

Covenants are easily switchable, BUT, those who remain loyal to their one chosen covenant are granted extra trust, and in turn extra power, rewards, etc. Maybe an extra exclusive wing in their covenant halls.

Would that make everyone happy?

Honestly, this is what I don’t get. Like, do RP players somehow lose something if mythic raiders are allowed to swap Covenants easily?

if we have the same spell for 2 years…
we are in trouble.
maybe 5 months at best.

It makes sense in the story…

If you don’t like it, you don’t have to partake in the story.

  1. Unsubscribe
  2. Deal with it

Like covenants, this is all a matter of choice. Another fairly important one.

hey man… we will all have to deal with it… after everyone gets declined for picking the wrong cov…

We’ve had Azerite traits for 2years now.

To allow everyone to swap freely, would instantly make that choice less meaningful. It would mean I could change my mind and swap if I wanted to. The very existance of that possibility means it doesn’t matter what you choose. It goes from something you need to think about, to something you can just throw a dart at and let it choose for you.

how many times where they revamped?
How many times where new ones added?
Which sub patch where ones buffed and nerfed?

Why cater to literally .001% of the population, though?

They’ve been doing that for so long now, min-maxing and nerfing fun things because the big wigs were taking advantage of it. There isn’t enough fun or importance to decisions in the game because of those types.

Who the heck cares. Let people have fun and feel like their decisions actually matter.

A stacking buff the longer you stay put is the obvious solution, like how keeping the same government type in Civilization 6 gets you an ever-increasing bonus.

As long as the renown breakpoints weren’t designed with the assumption that everyone had the stacking buff. Unfortunately, we’ve seen many times that Blizzard “balances” on the assumption that everyone has all the bonuses.

it aint gana just affect the 1 %…
you understand that right?

Exactly.

And in the story, these covenants are supposed to be important.

It would lose all meaning if you just changed it willy-nilly.

You can keep saying this, just like before BfA people kept saying that War Fronts were going to be amazing, but that doesn’t make it true.

Exactly !!!

You people are complaining about patch 9.0 content as if its the end of the world. We dont know whats going to happen next!

That’s the idea. Give us extra benefits for not switching, for making our character statement, and not feel penalized for not wanting to switch. Meanwhile those who do feel like switching around constantly is better for their characters have that option. That I would be totally fine with.

Oh no…

A decision will actually have meaning like it’s supposed to in the story…

The horror…

What ever will that 1% of the population do…

Sure, but they won’t do it.

I think the people that don’t care, it just doesn’t matter to them about having that level of depth to the story of your character. They play the game mostly for the phat loot, and the challenge. Not the story your character is a part of.
