Thats fine, I just dont generally respond to very old posts because the post could be talking about game systems that might have changed since the time of the original post. I tend to think its better to create a new post and keep it time-relevant.

You have to do work to unlock them. Starting at level 10 is a reward for unlocking them.
My bank alts are level 10, just in case I decide to level them one day. So far, I haven’t, and even at the advanced level of 10 they are adequate bank alts.
Edit: Dangit, I just realized I participated in necromancy. Oh well.
Just make a standard race and once she’s out of exile’s reach, just make your vulpera and both go in BFA and level together.
It used to be the flex of making it to the capital city at level 1. Nowadays IDK.
If you think the little play currently involved in going from lvl 1 to lvl 10 is a ‘grind’, you are playing the wrong genre.

When it comes to the AH you can not armoury a sub level 10 character. There are many advantages to having a level 1 bank alt for ah stuff.
I understand that any toon below level 10 will not have anything restored for it so I use and allied races these days or AH toons. A person could lose 10 million gold.
At least you necro’d on a undead dk.
Necro aside man do I wish I could roll core races starting at level 10. Skip the island/intro quests.
