Buffing the red doesn’t make it that valuable to me anymore. You know why I don’t play Outlaw? Because I hate RNG. The red now requires me to either play Outlaw or Sin since haste sucks for Sub. AND the only value to the trinket is now the proc. More freakin RNG.
As a result, I have to item restore a lower ilvl trinket to counter this stupid change.
I think these nerfs were made so that the raids trinkets will actually be used. These trinkets were quite strong to begin with; especially the beam thing that did like 100k in 2.5 seconds
If you’re an early adopter, you run the risk of patching. It’s just the risk you take with all software. Maybe take this as a learning experience? Seriously, if you run sims and a 415 you got through WQs is outperforming 455 raid items have some degree of expectation it will be nerfed and don’t overcommit yourself to something probably not working as intended.
Would a patch note an hour before it happened make you feel any better? I’m not saying its right or wrong, I just don’t understand the mindset of “this was clearly too good to be true, but I’ll continue clutching my pearls and not learn anything.” Will we see you back here when you Benethics get nerfed too? Same attitude, nothing learned?
I’m not paid to Beta test and do Q and A for Blizzard. If they want to match my current salary and let me work from home I’ll be more than happy to do so though.
Blizzard is the ones who designed all the trinkets, rings, and gear from all sources. It’s not our fault that they can’t be bothered to check their own numbers prior to Live launched content.
Do you have the same mindset when balance patches are launched two weeks after release for every other title in your game library? If so you must spend a lot of time in a perpetual state of outrage. Maybe learn from the burned hand instead of keeping it on the stove?
Why should players ever assume that something intentionally put into the game, left untouched for two weeks, and is not the result of an exploit or obvious game bug, is “too good to be true”?
Yeah, I just checked mine as well. Did the same. I was all excited about getting a warforged yellow as a drop yesterday too, and now it’s meaningless.
This is just more ineptitude from Blizzard. Doesn’t even surprise me anymore. They had months to make this change. All of a sudden, knowing all this time what the dungeon and raid ilvls would be, they nerf it.
