I don’t hate BfA but it could have been better for sure.
Bfa was evil on intend by a man who wanted to ruin the Forsaken because Metzen killed Garrosh.

I think there was a internal rumor/gossip/dispute that the original plan was for the players to kill off Sylvanas… But it was change… and then there was the rumor that she, Jaina, Anduin, Thrall and a few others (mostly OG character) were not allow to be killed off by the Story Team unless approve etc… I even heard that there were talks with Arthas returning, killing Jaina and raising her as his queen in a dramatic/emotional in-game cinematic… as they dismantle the SL and take over… but it never was even written down it just were talks as you can see that it was mostly Anduin and Sylvanas taking that role.
This is mostly outdated gossip as many who would know have left Blizz and usually from what I can tell even when something is already talk, rumored or underdevelopment they can change it before lunch at any given time… but yeah…
You could tell that BFA writing was all over the place and definitely things were change halfway through the expansion… so it really did mess up BFA… and really hit hard ShadowLands, there were may plot that felt unfinish, broken unfinish quest lines or just cut half-way in both expansions.

BFA really only ruined the Horde the Faction War. Zandalar and Kul Tiras, when you ignored the Faction War storylines, were cool and interesting places that were some of the best parts of Azeroth we’d yet seen.
SL buried everything that WoW had ever been, in every single aspect, under a great brown tide of molten dog poop. Well, except maybe a few cool zones again. The art team has never really failed us.

I main Horde and all my fun was ruined. SL was the saving grace of at least giving Sylvanas a way out after the dung of BFa which turned my faction into useless idiots bent on alliance appeasement. Also lol “only the Horde” like that is 60% of the whole player base. We have no reason to care about SL, Dragonflight or TWW beyond “Just go and help those prominent Alliance leaders to save Azeroth.” get real.
Hey it was talks I don’t know it it was true or not… either way it never got anywhere. So take it with a grain of salt. 
Yeah but in TWW you’ll get an Alliance race (danny devito women with beards and skin tags) so now you’ll finally have a reason to care 
They kinda did. They replaced Banshee Queen Sylvanas with Ranger General Sylvanas.
Makes sense for them. The same acknowledgement that the character was narratively at a dead end, without “killing her”.

I don’t want titanforged races just to stay relevant to the plot just because devs decided if titans didn’t make you you don’t matter.

I mean…titanforged races covers a lot of ground dude. Even Orcs descended from the Grond which Aggramar made.

Grond was an elemental being. We know Blizzard has a huge titan bias considering humans and their sidekicks hug all the spotlight since forever and it is annoying.

Honestly, I’d recommend giving a look at WarCraft 2 Tides of Darkness Remake: The Movie | Full Orc Campaign | All Missions & Cutscenes - YouTube for some catharsis. Blizzard’s not going to give you what you want, but luckily there’s still enough passion left in the fanbase to produce stuff like this.
I will not give up until humanity is defeated for good. The humanity bias must end. Humans have passed their prime and went as the default protagonists of the franchise for far too long.
They ruined the entirety of the lore.
- The world building that had been established for the afterlives in the WoW universe + the Shadowlands itself? RETCONNED.
- Lore of the Loa & Wild Gods? RETCONNED.
- Elune? RETCONNED.
- Origins of Nathrezim (Dreadlords) - RETCONNED.
- Sargeras kickstarting the burning Legion? RETCONNED, it was the Jailor - who used the Nathrezim to trick him into it.
- The Scourge? RETCONNED.
- Undead & the powers of undeath in general? RETCONNED.
- Frostmourne? RETCONNED.
- Helm of Domination? RETCONNED.
- The corruption of Arthas? RETCONNED.
- Story of the Lich King? RETCONNED.
Not to mention that they butchered the majority of the above lore & re-wrote it, merely to pretty much pile it all on the Jailor’s apparent “master plan” so they could lift him up from being some random dweeb into a wannabe big-shot.

These are both net positives.
The idea that demons were better and more powerful at necromancy than dead beings, and that the most powerful death artifact in the entire setting was made by and of demons was stupid beyond belief.

What I don’t understand about Shadowlands is - okay, they’ve been building up lore for years about how the Dreadlords have their own agenda, how they seem to be intimately involved in a number of problems that have plagued Azeroth and the rest of the universe, how they’re responsible for like, controlling the Lich King and the Undead, convincing Sargeras to start the Legion, etc. etc.
And then Shadowlands also wanted to introduce a character that was the ultimate, secret big bad pulling the strings behind everything. They give us the leader of the Dreadlords, who, again - have been set up as pulling strings for decades now. And… the leader of the Dreadlords is not the guy pulling the strings??? Utterly baffling writing decision to me.

I mean, it’s basically Denathrius’s Darth Sidious to Zoovy’s Darth Plagueis, but without the betrayal. Maybe. Idk, Denathrius bothers me the least of all of the raid bosses.

Better Denathrius then Fyrakk for real. Dragonflight had zero stakes.
Other way around you mean. SL was so low stakes blizz actively ignored everything that happened in it in the very next expansion.
While DF actually SET UP the next Saga. Only thing that they took from SL was the Amdrissal storyline and Anduin in TWW
