Why did we get fat humans?

I didn’t get up to lvl 60 before I quit trying on my void elf and went to power leveling.

I wish /cast type 2 diabetes was a class action

In game sure but that’s all stuff they made up. Look at the body shape and compare that to a woman IRL. They could call Kul’Tirans 4’ women and we’d never be able to tell the difference.

I have no idea what you mean (seriously, I am not trolling you).

Body shape is what matters. Height in game has no correlation to height in real life. In game height is all stuff Blizzard made up for lore reasons.

Ok, I’ll just cut to what I would end up saying anyway, that is, body type, skin color, eye color, race, whatever it is that someone does not like about a playable race on WoW, they simply need not play it, right? I fail to see what the issue here even is. lol

I’m 95% sure Ion was completely joking about that.

That post was almost a year ago. Sadly, San’layn are but a wish.

I still remember the Blizzcon where they first announced allied races and YouTubers were interviewing Blizz reps. And one asked “How many allied races will there be?” and the Blizzard dev said, “Add up all the humanoid races you have ever seen and divide by 5”. Everyone was excited and there was so much talk about what races we could play because several of them, Ion included, said that the BfA would have the Horde and Alliance fighting on every continent of Azeroth, and that races that were neutral in the past would get sucked into the fighting and have to join a side!

And… uh, well. Yeah. Here we are!

Zandalari / Darkspear Trolls: Same race, different cultures, different physical build, different accents.

Kul’tiran / Stormwind Humans: Same race, different cultures, different physical build, different accents.

You just think a human sub race is less special because we ARE human so we view it as more normal. If we were all Trolls playing WoW, the mirror complaint would be “WTF Horde just gets good posture trolls while Alliance gets a new type of Human that is way bigger and good at boats.”

I recognize a barrel when I see one!

the beautiful part about allied races, is that if you don’t like one, you don’t actually have to be one.

This is how I see it. It’s a political correctness move. We have blood elves, void elves, night elves that are all slender. Female humans are average build. They want a larger size human for those who feel that Blizz only cares about skinny models. Hence we get the new race. Will I play one. nope. But some will.

They should have provided more variety of hair styles and skin colors. Right now, they just seem like regular humans but fat and with a cool scar face option. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I see a major missed opportunity here.

Opposite:

I find the Kul’tiran much more “original” than just more trolls, or more Draenai, or more dwarves (but this time… DARK!) It is a different model even.

So are you trying to be ironic?

Dwarves are fat too, and gnomes are frumpy.

The kul tiran models are fat and gross. There is nothing heroic about someone who looks like they spend more time at McDonald’s than fighting trolls.

Im sorry but I am not buying this. The Kul Tirans are fat plain and simple they are outright morbidly obese. Yes there are plenty of humans in wow who would be fat sure. However there is no way a group of active sailors would be morbidly obese. There is no way ether the male or female is climbing the rigging of a sailing ship in a timely manner. There is no way ether of those body types are going to last in a stand up fight, or travel long distances on foot. Especially in the technological era wow is portrayed as, in that era only the wealthy was truly able to be that overweight, your common military or adventurer, Never.

I agree there’s two looks for chubby folks fat plain and simple then there’s muscle fat where you got a little belly but its complimented by muscles which I can’t see folk who work on a port lifting, carrying and pull heavy things can become.

When I seen the kul’tiran models I said ugly fat models I expected no less from the Devs, More content I have no interest in. So Thanks once again Devs for another let down. But I know you don’t care. But you already knew that Since your Dev ESP knows what I want and what is fun for me in WOW.

What difference would you add to a human to make them different but still keep them human? I ask this in regards to the human race we already have. There’s nothing wrong with Kul Tirans.

I love them.
