Then how do you explain san'layn wearing plate armor, being warrior like, and using blood dk abilities
they're vampires..?
Self evident answer is self evident.
Sure they use blood magic for the casters
But that's what a blood dks is also. A fighting undead warrior that uses blood magic, so why wouldn't san'layn be able to be one.
Well, the reason for alliance getting the fat humans was setting up the next expansion (other than the waist of the kul'tiran) called "The Battle for Planet Fitness"

They didn't take up the slot of anything, they have said repeatedly they are not shoehorning in allied races. They are adding races based on where the story currently is.
I can say I'm not a fury warrior making this post on the forums, but...
The entire concept is "shoehorned in."
Up to now, race and appearance options were default at the character creation screen. You didn't need to grind out anything to unlock them, and you certainly didn't need to rinse and repeat multiple times for each one if you wanted to roll one of each.
These aren't even new races: they're sub races of existing races and their appearance options could have been added to the list of customizations at the character creation screen.
The only ones that you can arguably give a "new" race to is possibly nightfallen.
That probably should have gone panda route and let them pick either faction.
You then want your flavor race for the faction conflict?
High Elves and ogres.
Congrats, you just got two of, if not the two most requested playable races since the early days of the game.
Instead, the dev team went small potatoes to create metric padding time sinks.
...and gave us the krispy kreme sailors.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for appearance sliders...just don't mess with the established lore for an entire nation to do it.
Not if what's presented is interesting and well-fleshed out, which I personally think the Kul Tirans are.
Well, no one's saying the playable Kul Tirans as they are currently modeled aren't
fleshed out...it's that they are
too fleshed out.
::puts on legendary sunglasses::
Why are fat Kul Tirans lore breaking?
In warcraft 3, the kul tirans were depicted as a human race from the Island of Kul Tiras. Essentially, they looked like every other human, with some regional differences (armor, banners, etc). Some notable examples were people like Daelin and Jaina Proudmoore. Daelin's forces were Kul Tiran and supplied the bulk (if not the entirety) of the Alliance (not the current Alliance) naval forces during the first through third wars...up to the point that Jaina helps do him in.
Apparently, in the intervening years...between warcraft 3 and now, Kul Tiras opened up several krispy kreme donuts (or something along those lines) and it became the staple diet for their entire nation. Because if you look at everyone from Kul Tiras from those days and look at what we're getting now...it's pretty much the only explanation that makes sense. You have a population that went from a very fit fighting force to a good number of them becoming very heavyset...to the point that like Mr. Incredible in "The Incredibles" they wouldn't fit in their super suits (armor) from the warcraft 3 days any more.
Said this elsewhere, but I'll close with this:

Because when you think about it, a fat naval force makes zero sense. Because if you thought you needed to be in shape to fight on land, it goes double for fighting on the high seas...especially in old school sailing vessels. But considering the devs can't science enough to realize that having a giant planet suddenly pop into orbit right next to Azeroth would cause catastrophic gravitational effects on BOTH worlds...AND the same would go for having a giant world breaking sized sword sticking out of the planet...
Sure, fat naval forces it is.
Makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine.
The "graphics" excuse can't be used because we're talking the last decade of computer games here...not something made in the 90s.
Only the horde are allowed to get allied races that have work put into them, have lore put into them and actually look good.
Only thing I worry about is what racials they will have because I can't imagine any particularly interesting ones for them myself. Just meme-y national-symbol things like throwing an anchor, and "oh they're sailors make them swim good". My hope is that something relating to their half-Drust heritage makes for an interesting racial or three.
I thought the kids these days were calling them thicc.

I would have supported giving Alliance a real race but I'm not one of the devs. My advice is just hope the Kul'tirans prove unpopular.
To be honest the only allied races that really bring anything to their side is Alliance got Void Elves who bring Blood Elves to the Alliance, and Horde got Nightborne who bring Night Elves to the Horde the rest could have just been customization options.
You donât consider (edit) KulâTiran Humans to be a ârealâ Allied Race but regard the Void Elves as being an Allied Race that actually brought something to the table?
Interesting.
Alliance did not have Blood Elves before they got "Void Elves" and Horde did not have Night Elves before getting "Nightborne" therefore both actually brought something new to the table.
The other allied races are all races the factions already have, Kul'tirans are just humans who are addicted to cheese burgers.
So yes Void Elves bring something to the Alliance Kul'tirans don't. Unless your going to claim the same race (Blood Elves) don't bring anything to the Horde.

San'layn are one type of Undead. Death Knights are a different type of undead. Why can't a Dwarf Warrior become a Dwarf Mage? Because he's already a Dwarf Warrior. To the best of my knowledge, there has never been ANY overlap between Death Knights and San'layn, and this is why, logically, I wouldn't expect there to be.
I mean... if San'layn were released as a playable race (ugh) they'd have classes, for sure... but surprisingly, DK wouldn't be one of them -because they've been reserved for the "original" WoW races. So, there's that, too.
Also... this is Nia Jax. She's built almost exactly like a KT female... I suspect her health is just fine.

Then you look at kul'tiran humans and say oh they are just humans who have eaten a lot of junk food and drink a lot of alcohol.
Too many carbs, bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. /cry I really miss carbs.
Because some WOW PLAYERS want a more accurate representation of how they look in real life.
They aren't fat. They're just big boned.
So I can roleplay as Chris Farley
We needed DIRECTX12 to be able to handle the graphics load for the motion of the fat rolls . That is also we we don't have flying again no mounts can fly a fat human around.
Because the Horde would have been jealous if we got Vrykul. And making Horde jealous is a no-no
really wanted this for the tears.
To the OP:
Representation matters and believe it or not, some wow gamers are heavy.
