Hover for all of them.
Except the majority of people that want normal flying is because itâs slower.
I already have friends who quit the game, because you canât keep the slowest flying speed anymore, since itâs all auto learned.
You think landing has any level of difficulty?
Hovering directly above the thing you want to tag, 0 difficulty.
Sitting on nearby ledge, flying to the thing you want to tag, 0.0000001 difficulty.
Gamers min max, theyâll take hover.
Happy birthday to the ground!!!
Some people, for what ever reason, prefer normal flying.
I do think itâs odd, though, to have what is essentially a slower form of flying be gated behind renown levels as if it were some kind of reward.
What if the devs decide to give non-dragon mounts dragonriding capabilities and allow us to use them on the Dragon Isles with pathfinder unlocked Now THAT would be something.
So, statistically no difference and not even worth mentioning.
If thereâs two paths, one is fun and engaging and the other is quick and boring.
The vast majority of gamers will take the quick and boring path.
Hovering is easier than landing on a ledge, it is a valid reason for people to want Pathfinder.
If Msoft gets rid of redundant managers maybe the dev responsible for the war on flight will end with the addition of new blood.
They had to add it because they âpromisedâ. so they wait until the very last patch so we cant call them liars again.
With Phil itâs either sink or swim for them now. Msoft was buying King and itâs mobile presence. blizz will probably get rolled up into king.
You keep saying âledgeâ, but it is not ledges, you are talking about events and bosses where the choice is hovering or landing at the same areas. Even you said it was a one hundredth thousandth of a percent difficulty which is really admitting there is nothing to either.
Ok, wait⌠What is your argument against me?
I canât say ledge?
Let me start again.
I think some people will utilise pathfinder to hover directly above content, so they can tag stuff at the end to avoid contributing.
They will no longer use their dragonriding mounts to do this because, hovering is marginally easier and we know how gamers like to min max.
My care factor for them doing this is 0 and I will use pathfinder occasional when it comes out.
Regular Flying should of damn well be included with the start of Dragon Island expâŚwe shouldnât have to jump though hoops to use regular flyingâŚDragon Flying didnât have a pathfinder locked to itâŚdid itâŚNOPEâŚwell Normal flying shouldnât either in this expansion its a crappy way to treat those of us that are disabled and rather using normal flying then dragon flying.
As Iâve informed you previously in other threads.
Dragon riding is one of if not the main features of this expansion.
Pathfinder is not
You are not being treated any differently than anyone else who bought the game and there are plenty of accessibility options with more coming for you in 10.2
Is the actual creation of the pathfinder achievement and switch to flip flight as available really a significant use of developer time?
They didnât need to update zones for flight. Just add an achievement with a dozen requirements of things already in the game. Probably took an hour to develop the list and one person another 30 minutes to create text and enter it into the database.
As for flight, I just want to use my travel forms. Very nice for quick jaunts around a small area. Whereas dragon riding could be useful for longer flights.
yeah no, it requires the new rep. if itâs not gonna work in those areas, they should remove that requirement and only require the old rep. so I will continue to give negative feedback to blizzard.
Haha, I didnât even notice that.
Thatâs so dumb, just unlock it for the entire expansionâŚ
well, letâs see⌠maybe they like their older mounts better than their 5 dragonriding mounts, maybe they want to be able to hit num-lock and alt-tab while heading somewhere rather than being forced to manually control their character the whole way, maybe they like to hover in place, rather than always be looking for somewhere to land when they need a breather, or maybe they just donât like dragonriding.
it doesânt matter really, itâs better to have the old style as an option rather than just having a feature they donât like shoved in their face.
itâs honestly insulting at this point. if they are going to restrict it to certain zones, donât make us do content from other zones they wonât let us use it in (which sucks horribly for those of us with medical issues). I shouldnât have to get 15 with mole people or Emerald Dream to fly in the unrelated old zones. for crying out loud.
Iâm surprised it took them this long to unlock it.
Like I get them wanting to shoehorn people into their new toy at the beginning, but by the end of season 1 it should have been unlocked.
How does them adding regular flying at the END of an expansion translate into classic flying bring better? Why are you so threatened by regular flying being added to DF? What does it matter if another player prefers classic flying? It doesnt affect you, relax
