Why did Blizzard put us on a patch where Raids can be cleared by non60s?

This patch is perfect for getting people ready for when the game finally caught it’s stride with the release of TBC and WotLK.

Too strong opinions based on little information, most of it only speculation… A lot of private servers have their difficult enhanced

unless you travel back in time to 2004 you aren’t getting an authentic experience. people have done the content already. they know all the tricks to beat it.

There is no speculation here. 1.12 was the patch set before nax to help people catch up and push everyone through all of the earlier raids which is why people are hitting 60 so fast and clearing early raids without even BEING 60 or geared. 0 speculation here.

Classic isn’t going to die because MC is easy. It’s part of the experience. MC was meant to be easy and most guilds will be able to clear it. Most guilds will not get past AQ, so if you want your authentic experience, you’ll find it there.

The only intolerant one here is you, buddy, rolling up into threads with condescension and insults instead of participating in civil discussion. Sorry that that you cannot seem to separate these two things in your behavior.

I mean… have you seen the world first retail kill videos from vanilla?

It’d be a compliment to the players in those video to call them Koko the gorilla.

I love watching the player base start demanding changes after a week, real top shelf. What happened to the no changes crowd that was rolling into every post.

Still here. No changes.

Nobody wanted changes, we wanted a patch that wasn’t set at the end of vanilla’s run. Why are people like yourself utterly incapable of not being rude?

Yeah I remember in vanilla, Onyxia required at least 1 tank and 1 ranged dps, with 2 priests healing. Such difficult…

Clearly my tinfoil hat has fallen off and I fall for the fake news that vanilla was easy and we were bad, when clearly the evidence from private servers shows otherwise.

Its 1.12 we knew the game was going to be easier, plus everyone has 15 years of experience and knowledge like your cant take that away. If people wanted this why wasn’t their a demand for it 2-3 months ago? Also how was i being rude?

See this makes me think the late patch was deliberate in an attempt to disenchant people from Vanilla and funnel them toward retail (hence the free 110)–which isn’t going to happen.

disagreeing vehemently =/= rude, you’re just sensitive

To reply to the OP: The reason Blizzard launched this version of the game is because of something to do with having more complete code/data for 1.12. Assuming that their research was accurate and these are the closest stats to 1.12, this is the correct difficulty. It isn’t the difficulty experienced during WoW’s launch, but that isn’t what was being sold and we can’t blame Blizzard for that.

If the only reason you are playing classic is to gear your character sufficiently for the current teir, then there isn’t much reason to play beyond the late 50s. But if you play for any other reason, then that reason is the point of playing Classic.

Perhaps the numbers will be changed in the future, we don’t know. I plan to still play the game, however, and sink many hours into community building, collecting BiS, and PvPing, among the plethora of other activities this game has to offer.

Don’t ask me. I am not the one calling the shots here. I am just one voice out of thousands but sure, I can single handedly speak for the entire classic community.

the thing people don’t understand is that back when WoW launched game mechanics were very poorly documented and not understood by the playerbase. this isn’t the case anymore and everything about classic is well documented

It’s just odd to me that private servers can manage it but Blizzard can’t.

They understand this, but they are intentionally being obtuse because they have this bizarre notion that if classic dies people will play the modern game, hence why you are seeing this group of people just regurgitating the same copy paste in every thread raising concerns.

Reality check, retail is designed to be a skinnerbox/social engineering experiment and is largely owned by the chinese. Nobody is going back to it
