At this point they might as well just keep the 100% boost permanent, even at the start of new phases. Why are some of us going to continue to put in the time and effort to level just for them to add these boosts a few weeks later, right as we hit the level cap
yup, it doesnât make sense to put in a bunch of effort at the beginning of phases anymore⊠SoD devs have completely messed up incentive structures⊠people are incentivized not to play and just wait for catchup mechanics lol
Semantics are cumbersome, especially in translation.
I agree with your stance. We have moved out of the commencement of phase 2 into the midpoint; but, a midpoint may last for whatever undisclosed duration before moving into the closure.
I donât believe the Blizz post means the particular day is was authored and shared is the midpoint
Compared to initial classic where its a long term âpermanentâ progression server I would absolutely consider a ~1 year seasonal server fast paced.
My mage has BIS for PvE other than a belt. Have my raptor mount from early iterations of blood moon as well. Rewarded enough imo.
Phase 1 was 10 weeks. Mid point would make it 5. March 5th is roughly 4 weeks meaning if it is truly mid, 8 weeks would be am estimated run.
thereâs nothing there to enjoy, so whatâs the problem?
the phase is already too long, because of the void of content.
Like BFD and Gnome?
The problem with the playerbase is they hear ânew raidsâ and immediately think itâll be new instances that never existed in Classic (ie Grim Batol, Kara Crypts, Uldum, etc).
Okay but like, youâre actually just wrong.

Itâs kind of crazy some of you guys will just say things with that level of confidence while being wrong.
We havenât had a level bracket last 3-4 months yet. Weâve had a 10 week Phase 1 and now according to Blizzard weâre going to have a 8-10 week Phase 2.
Nowhere near 3-4 months lol.
Phase 2 canât end fast enough.
Remember Garrisons? They were suppose to be in each zone. It released as just one singular place.
Or how about Path of the Titan? That was completely cut.
Both of these were lauded in slides and key speaking notes at Blizzcon.
So, yes, I have âmanaged expectationsâ of what theyâll actually do over the next 9-ish months.
They jumped the shark, but SOD is a supposed to be a clown show.
People assumed the same with the Fonz, and he kept going for 8 more seasons
I thinkâ jumping the sharkâ shows a lack of creativity and complacency, but not evidence of a scramble.
Real talk. My work schedule canât afford to be taking off all this time for new releases in such short spans. Yes, itâs necessary. Donât tell me itâs not.
Amen brother. Phase 2 was laughably short. I got everything I wanted from Gnomeregan and The Blood Moon but still
People also fail to remember that P1 happened in the middle of the holiday season. Im pretty sure the SoD team was out of the office for 2 weeks at least.
oh okay then.
People said p2 was going to be longer than p1 because the leveling was longer. It turns out that was just a bunch of baloney.
Whatâs more of a joke than anything is the change to a weekly lockout. Weâll get like 7-8 raids of sunken temple before phase 3 ends.
You mean 8weeks? 2 months is far more than enough time for 25-40.
