Sod isn’t dead though lol. Server is packed with people doing various activities and I’m having a blast. Maybe the miserable folks are leaving that’s not a bad thing.

They said from the beginning that the phases would last about 2 months. So expect no less than 2 months each phase. He said mid point as a way to smooth over the announcement of the xp boost, so it didn’t seem like a big impact.
Also, the xp boost was necessary to bring back the lost players.
I LOVE leveling, but like 90% of wow players dont. Including half of my guild and a few RL friends. They all wouldn’t touch phase 2 because of how long leveling takes, especially for people who aren’t classic veterans.
lvling once is nice, but with the engi/lw prof meta u r “forced” to have an alt to farm gold with quests or gathering profs.
U have to spend x2 time due to this.
I personally quit, it feels like a job and Im getting demoted on every phase with the Hunter and Rogue nerfs
This was already expected to be a casters phase but oh lord, i didnt expect them to buff em and nerf the rest haha
From an user perspective its lame to pay for this kind of experience, unsubbing next week after I sold all my bank and lvld to 40.
I may be back, but there is no point into investing this much time for so little to do at lvl 40.

I was expecting P3 around April-ish. Now I’m thinking it’ll be before March is over.
I’m not even 40 yet on the main…

This sucks…just because:
- It means SoD is almost at its midpoint
- I wanted some downtime at ‘max level’ before the banding was increased

Leveling is straight up exactly the same as every other time we did it. Just with runes.
As much as I enjoy SoD they barely changed anything in the open world.
Leveling is fun once per launch, after that not so much. Also you can always turn off the xp boost

I wrote this a few days ago:
“just add new items to the same 4-5 dungeons lvl 40, a few new zones in open world with elite, and faction events- no FFA, Zerg vs zerg for rep with ur faction- the faction with more rep each week gets some silly advantage at raiding, like 2% hit rate @GNO”
I think they can do better, I had these ideas literally while writting…

There’s been a big drop off in people levelling alts. That certainly holds true for my guild. They said that was their reason for the xp buff - to encourage alt levelling.
It has already meant a number of people saying they’ll level a few alts now that would have stayed parked.
As for March 5th being some where near half way - that’s just under 4 weeks which would be 2 months - I think 10 weeks is more likely.

Because Gnomer loot is legitimately awful for several specs and melee DPS hate their lives currently. Why keep the phase running when the loot is bad and a decent portion of the player base hates the raid?
wasnt there a literal roadmap showing when phases will launch?
A midpoint can mean almost anywhere between the start and finish, the midpoint means the exact middle.
