No, that’s not what I was saying.
I was saying, blizzard was tired of people using their IP, and them having to constantly defend their IP by shutting things down. So they simply made a tourist mode so they would be the ones profitting, and they didn’t have to constantly keep shutting down private servers each time it popped up.
I’m sure there is some nostalgia, or curiosity around old wow. I’m not one of the people that suffer from that. I know exactly how much of a dumpster fire Wow classic was. There was just simply not many other options at the time.
