I mean alot of the class/race combos can be removed tomorrow without any lore issues (ignoring DH and Evokers classes).
The exceptions are a few specific combos.
Void Elf Paladins- They would become a nuke the moment they used the light as light and void are like matter and anti mater and paladins use their bodies and a conduit for the light.
Undead Paladins- Because paladins channel the light through their bodies it would cause extreme pain to the undead.
Earthen Druids and DK’s- Would need more Earthen lore to be flushed out. Currently if an earthen player dies they leave behind a rock pile instead of a corpse. Also can non-fleshy races be druids?
Mechagnome Druids- Will their mechanical bits be an issue?
Dracthyr DKs- Last I checked the Ebon Blade hasn’t been raising more races into undeath as DK’s since pre-Shadowlands.
Mag’har Orc Paladins- They are refugees from AU Draenor running away from crazed light worshipers.
Orc Paladins- Unknown how Light and Corrupted Fel Blood will work.
These are the combo’s that would be an issue. For all of the other races Shaman/Druids can be explained because of the events of Dragonflight. Paladins will be difficult for other races not listed here however but it can be done likely with the events of Midnight.
You’re not as powerful as main heroes no. Do you see Jaina herbing or killing boars? We’re the bottom of the bottom and the nice title they give us is only to send us swipe the floors.
FF14 imo is super inflated in term of chosen one status, personally I prefer being the random adventurer. I think for a game where you are more the center of story make sense but in wow you don’t have a center role. You are one of the many. You don’t have a defined role like in FF14.

Sorry, I disagree. Sure, in classic we were doing things such as killing boars, but now of days we are soloing demons lords, void spawns, all kinds of crazy things. Gonna go back to legion on this were half the artifact quests have you doing such.
Guess you never played Warlords of Draenor. Long before we ever got our first “mission table”, both the Exarch, and Baros Alexston, and a handful of others use the term as we land in the starting zone to begin building the Garrison. I am not talking about the achievement for 40 followers, or the pvp achievement for a 2100 rating in RBGs.
Yea the minions of the dark lords. But then you go back to cleaning stuff, feeding animals. How do you explain that if not being at the bottom. Do you think they would ask Jaina or Thrall to feed the animals or find some books they lost?
Yea they use the term and still you don’t command them, you and what army? Please bring that army out in the next raid that would be useful. It’s only titles for a means to an end.
Right now the classes that are restricted from every race have assets that need to be made for everyone before they can roll out. Paladin Divine Steed/Normal/Epic mounts, Shaman Totems, and Druid base Bear, Cat, Normal/Epic Flight form, possibly unique Travel or Aquatic form as well for certain races.
the original argument about why forsaken couldnt be paladins is because the light would literally cook them, how is that any different than what is being discussed here?
