So to start with I only half understand the lore so please be easy on me if I’m missing something, but why can’t we be any race in our visage form? As far as i understand dragons are able to transform into pretty much any race.

The answer isn’t because they’re too lazy. It’s because once they give evokers a paid race change option for visage, they will make a ton of money on relatively little developer work.
If this is the plan, that’s pretty smart honestly.

Evokers wouldn’t be race changing… Evokers are, and will always be dracthyr. The visage form, if it happens, would be a barber shop thing.

Ah yes, of course blizzard wouldn’t come up with a way for a paid race change for visage😁.
I wasn’t suggesting our actual racials would change. They’d likely just add a new race panel at character creation for visage customizations or something.

I agree, just add the visage form to the barber shop to let us pick our visage race.
Then add a glyph (like for druid and spriest) to stay perma human, maybe except for soar and deep breath).
Shouldnt be too hard. It already works with the use of toys. I myself am a Murloc evoker using the anniversary murloc wand.

There’s a difference between having shoddy or downright broken animations from a toy and having a glyph with the expectation that everything would be functional and animated properly. And they would need to animate it for every visage if they added more visage races. Perma visage glyph makes zero sense.

you cant say never because theres enough proof in this game that if you cry loud enough blizzard gives in every time and this goes back to vanilla its not even a recent thing

Sorry, but I said what I said. There is an interview with the devs where they explicitly state no other race will be allowed to be an evoker because the spell animations are specifically designed for dracthyr.
Sure, they could do it, as they could do anything. But it simply isn’t happening. At best, we’ll eventually get other visage forms, but you won’t be casting as another race outside of toys.
oh you mean like how they said we would never get classic wow? they say were not going to get a bunch of things all the time and then either because people complained enough or they were losing enough subs they gave in. if there is 1 fact about blizzard other than they hate the player base when its happy its that any time they said something wont happen you can be sure it will

I’m fine with the dracthyr race fantasy/visage form stuff myself, but if they keep it this way I would really, really, really like a way to have separate mogs for my dracthyr form vs. the visage form. Like if we can’t get anything else, can we at least get that?
Dracthyr can look good with the right tabard/gear combos, the problem is that you then look like crap when you’re in human form. And vice versa. (Especially since some belts show, others don’t, etc.) When I find a good mog, I tend to stick with it for ages because it’s difficult to find another that looks as good. I would really like more flexibility to experiment more without my other half wearing a clown suit.
A good example is the love witch stuff. I love that outfit! I want to wear the full thing on my visage form. But the shoulders just do not vibe well on dracthyr form. So even with our extremely limited options, we’re limited even more.

i feel this so much. i went from mop-legion with the same mog on my druid. changed it in bfa and although i changed servers that druid still has the same mog
If this were true they would have given Worgens tails a long time ago
