Demon Hunters speak it fluently. Why not warlocks? Seems odd.
When Warlocks had metamorphosis they could but that spell was torn off them and handed to DH in legion. Also sad yet funny that Curse of Tongues makes the victim of it speak demonic if I recall right yet you can’t hit yourself with it as a warlock
We used to be able to speak Demonic when we had our Metamorphosis form.
Ironically we can make others speak Demonic with our Curse of Tongues spell.
We used to be able to just speak it.
I remember as an ally talking to a horde warlock in Stonetalon. We both switched to demonic and swapped stories.
Which is, naturally, why warlocks can’t speak demonic.
My character is a Man’ari Eredar who have been corrupted into becoming demons.
I definitely should be able to speak demonic.
That and why the forsaken magically forgot how to speak common.
I mean, rotting zombie. maggot probably poked a hole in the part of the brain that held knowledge of common
I agree. WoW has always been weird with languages.
I asked this so long ago! What a stupid change.
Because like lots of other things it was taken from us and given to Demon Hunters.
At least priests can still speak in the old tongue… kinda… with a Glyph. (Should have been the velf racial language)
Because Blizzard hates us lol
It’s funny that we can force people to speak Demonic, but we can’t speak Demonic ourselves lol
Maybe we can learn it like we did with Furbolg in the future, that’d be neat.
Because they don’t want people to be able to communicate cross faction. It’s that simple, no whacky story reason for it
Except for the part where pandas, dracthyr, demon hunters, void/blood elves, and anyone with Furbolg (I think) can already talk cross faction.
That was how folks found out a lot of npcs are saying stuff like “CHRIS METZEN!!!” when yelling in demonic
Furbolg does indeed work cross-faction.
because fun detected.
All demons are fluent in common and orcish, there’s no necessity to speak demonic in order to give demons commands.
That’s video game logic for ya!
