Still I imagine some Demon grimoires are written in demonic.
Maybe the Demons they do contract with know their language.
Kinda weird from a lore perspective as youâd imagine theyâd all know demonic commonly.
Speaking demonic was always my head canon for why manâari eredar characters lacked that rich draenei accent and instead all sound like very constipated americans.
They kind of need their own voiced lines and access to demonic now that theyâre playable.
That would be fun and add flavor to the game
We canât allow that
Those things were a better fit for DHâs, but it wasnât âlotsâ of things.
mutters
Still could have shared.
nah, we have enough homogenization.
Then remove it from Demon Hunters and add it to Warlocks.
Why would some random Elf know Demonic and a Manâari Warlock wouldnât?
Demonic is the language of the Manâari lol
⌠yea Iâm not touching that with a ten foot pole.
Probably has something to do with gameplay issues that were either never addressed or Blizzard simply doesnât care. According to the game youâre still just a Draenei with another skin color option.
Cannot, unless thatâs changed since Pandaria
All news to me
Its because they didnât study enough.
Theyâre behind on their duolingo lessons.
Gameplay. The answer is quite simply because of gameplay.
If you want to learn a universal language you have to put effort in as a player to learn it. The one exception to this are demon hunters and Dracthyr, because partially they are a race rather than a class. Demon Hunter is a class yes but with the specifics of how you become a demon hunter for all intent and purposes it has more similarities with that of a race rather than a class.
Add on top of that general factionalization and you have your answer there. As others have pointed out, you can learn more languages and if others understand it as well then you can communicate it. Even if it is unlikely for some languages such as Draconic or Demonic to be spoken more âfreelyâ as we have no idea what actually gives characters the ability to speak those languages.
Pandas have been able to talk cross faction for years. That was changed way back in Legion.
The dracthyr racial language is also cross faction, as is the DH class language, blood and void elves can both speak thalassian, and anyone can speak furbolg if they do the DF rep grind.
Have a warrior spell reflect everytime you want it.
Forsaken used to know common long ago.
You used to be able to; but like everything else fun about Warlocks; Blizz took it away.
And yet thereâs a potion that lets you understand the opposite faction. Blizz are just silly that way.
Wow, I didnât realize they took it away. That sucksâŚ
And yet all demon hunters, pandaren and dracâthyr can speak to each other. And void elves and blood elves can talk in Thalassian.
